updated response to owners comment: EVERYONE, you can see the owner's unprofessional attitude. He, again, starts off not asking what the issue was. He rather stay in his egotistical state and only accept positive criticism that strokes his ego. That is NOT how a professional business owner should act. He keeps saying "move on", well guess what? My family and I will move on to another Mediterranean restaurant, and this review will stay here so that the owner's bad attitude can be witnessed to all across the internet. Here's a free lesson to you, Bruce, when people enter into your establishment, you welcome them and not bark at them or act rude. You were rude to my son, and my husband was about to turn around and walk out (which we should have). But since I wanted to try your food, we put up with your rude behavior. And your food taste like your attitude, ROTTEN (as they say in the culinary world, your attitude effects the taste of your food ... bad attitude = bad tasting food). You are not a Michelin star restaurant and I can see why. Bruce ought to learn from criticism. 1. when a person enters into your establishment, welcome them. 2. when a customer complains, ask them about the complaint. Not all complaints are valid but a professional attitude is to still listen. 3. rudeness gets you nowhere. you might be doing good but how many people read these comments and "move on" away from doing business at your establishment?
update: the response from owner is rude and unprofessional. How do they know that I wasn't a customer? Instead of being a professional businessman, they should ask what the issue was, but instead they respond with a childish attitude. Maybe they should have gone to college and gotten a business degree like I did, that way they would know how to talk to customers. I see this business going under in the next several years, all because the owner doesn't know how to communicate effectively. I was a customer, and I had bad service and the food was subpar. Grow up and learn to take criticism, which should be used to better your business. If you can't treat customers with respect and try to understand their complaints, then you are in the wrong profession. I've managed places and worked in food. If a customer has a complaint, I listen and try to better the business. I've read the feedback the owner has posted on negative feedback. Not ONCE did the owner try to understand the complaint and try to find a solution to the issue. BUT the owner did act rude, condescending, and just right out...
Read moreAfter a long drive from Alabama, I was eager to relax and satisfy my hunger at Orabis Mediterranean-Greek Restaurant in Cedar Hill, TX. I can confidently say it has quickly become my favorite spot in the area!
To start, I ordered the stuffed grape leaves as my first appetizer, and they were absolutely delightful—perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. Next, I indulged in the fried calamari, which was crispy and tender, paired with a zesty dipping sauce that complemented it beautifully. I also tried the fried cauliflower, which was a fantastic addition to our appetizer spread. With three of us dining together, we had plenty of food to share, making the experience even more enjoyable.
For our main course, we decided to share the lamb platter, which was incredibly tender and flavorful, along with roasted vegetables that were perfectly cooked. We also enjoyed a side of tabouli that was made fresh that day, adding a refreshing touch to our meal.
Sadly, we were too full to enjoy dessert this time, but I’ve heard great things about their sweet offerings, and we’ll definitely be sure to save room for those on our next visit!
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Orabis exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return for more delicious...

The unassuming store front is the perfect foil for us foodies. When I walked into the restaurant for the first time, I was immediately and warmly greeted by the owner, Bruce. I was not there to partake of the foodstuffs. I was investigating! I believe Bruce was aware of my plan so he kindly indulged all my questions and offered samples of their best wine... which by the way were quite yummy. After an hour or so we parted ways with me promising to return soon. Well readers, today was the day. I returned to the restaurant to be warmly greeted by Executive Chef Sana & Bartender Armando. We exchanged genuine pleasantries and discussed the menu. At the suggestion of Armando, I ordered the salmon (served grilled and naked with a lemon herb sauce on the side - how thoughtful!!!!) which came with their famous saffron rice and grilled veg. Armando suggested pairing a Riesling (9 Hats) with my meal. OMG - I could not have done better myself. If not for my embarrassment, I would post before and after pics of my plate, alas, I will pass... All I can say is you owe it to yourself to have a meal at Orabis. No longer will I plod through miles of northbound traffic to partake of this type of fare! There’s no need because we have our own local...
