Alright, y'all, as a Texas traveler always on the lookout for a sweet spot, I just found a gem in Cedar Park, Texas, that truly hits all the right notes.
This place is incredibly easy to get to, which is always a win when you're on the road. Now, you know I love my ice cream, and the options and flavor combinations here were absolutely phenomenal. Seriously, prepare your taste buds for a delightful journey!
Beyond the delicious treats, I was genuinely charmed by the atmosphere. There's this fantastic wall of astronauts that's practically begging for a selfie (or two!). It adds such a unique, fun touch to the space. The staff, too, deserves a special shout-out – they were attentive, thorough, and genuinely kind, making the whole experience even better. And for a history buff like me, seeing the Cedar Park, Texas, history on the wall was a fantastic bonus.
Oh, and for the coffee lovers out there? Their coffee was perfect – smooth and not acidic at all. A truly delightful cup.
Consider this my official declaration: I will absolutely be back! This spot is a must-visit in the Texas Hill Country.

Read moreLast night, I had a sudden dessert craving and ended up at Dumont. The interiors were welcoming. To my surprise, I spotted a newly introduced seasonal flavor – Custard Apple.
I tried the Custard Apple ice cream for the very first time here, and it was delightful. I’m someone who usually leans toward fruit-based flavors, this one truly met my expectations. Though I felt it was a bit pricey compared to their other options, the taste justified. My all-time favorite here is still Mango, but Custard Apple definitely comes next in line. I also noticed they’ve recently added karafa Coffee, which is on my list for the next visit.
Service & Ambience I visited around 10 PM on a Monday, and the place was with good floating crowd. The staff were friendly.
Suggestions While the new seasonal flavors are refreshing, I’d suggest keeping the pricing a little closer to their regular menu. It would encourage more people to try these unique flavours.
Final Verdict For fruit-flavor lovers like me, Mango and Custard Apple...

The ice cream was underwhelming at best. Despite an extensive flavor list, none stood out as exceptional. The texture was lackluster, and the taste didn’t justify the premium pricing. To make matters worse, I experienced stomach cramps that lasted a day—which never happens to me.
Comparing Dumont to renowned establishments like Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams or Salt & Straw is unfair to those high-quality brands. Dumont’s offerings felt more like mass-produced, corn syrup-laden products masquerading as artisanal delights.
While the staff was friendly and the decor was pretty decent, the cleanliness of the place left much to be desired. For a place claiming to be premium, the lack of attention to detail in cleanliness is disappointing. The marketing is great, but it doesn’t match the actual experience.
If you're seeking a genuine, flavorful ice cream experience, I recommend exploring other options. Dumont Creamery & Cafe falls short of delivering on...
