If you love pickled onions, extremely spicy food, poor service and overly expensive Mexican Food, than this is the place for you.

We showed up just after 11 AM. We were the first customers and since we had never been before, we ordered drinks and took a few minutes to look at the menu. In the mean time, she brought chips and salsa...yah! until I took my first bite of salsa. My mouth was on fire! I even said to our server, that salsa is so hot! She said that she is Mexican, it is hot to her and she cant eat eat it! That is the only salsa they have, so no chips and salsa for me.

I ordered the Del Mar Tacos from the lunch menu. It is supposed to be fish, lettuce, pico de gallo, queso fresco, guacamole, sour cream, pickled onions and jalapeno sauce. The server told me that the jalapeno sauce was hotter than the salsa...no thank you! I did not want pickled onions or the jalapeno sauce, but everything else, she said fine. We waited 20 minutes, at lunch, when we were the first customers, for tacos.

Once the food arrived, it was loaded with pickled onions. The server offered to take it back (we already waited 20 minutes) so I said thats ok, I'll scoop them off, and she left. When I actually looked at the tacos, the only thing on them was fish and lettuce, no pico de gallo, cheese, gauc or sour cream. We tried desperately to get a server, manager over, they all ignored us. Once our server finally came over, my friend was pretty much done eating, and my food was cold. I said I will not pay for this, this is not what I ordered, and I could not get anybody over here to correct it.

The manager came over and apologized, blaming it on the large party, that did not arrive until after we got our food. But he did take my meal off the check, since it was not what i ordered, and i only took one bite.

The positive on this place.....the Mexican Martini was awesome! But i was expecting to eat food when I ordered it! Glad I...

My family and I were there celebrating a birthday and while we were waiting on the birthday girl to come, he said it's far to get drinks. I'm not sure how long the bartender has been there, however she seems very inexperienced and overwhelmed. There was not one drink menu at the bar. There were QR codes everywhere for drink menus, however, I don't have a QR code scanner. So when I asked the lady what she could make she just stared at me with a blank stare. So I asked for a hurricane. Bartending 101. That's like the first thing you learn. Shed everything there for a hurricane however she did not know how to make it. So I just looked at her and said that's fine how about something sweet. Anything you've got on the menu that is sweet. Took her a few minutes to think about it. She helped four other customers before she decided what she was going to make me. And then she didn't even make the drink. A gentleman made a drink and handed it to me. It was a $12 drink. Well right under $12 anyway. And it was not sweet at all. It was very sour. I didn't even complain. We just went into the area where the party was happening and sat down and then we found a drink menu. So I looked up the drink to see the ingredients and there was zero agave in it. I'm guessing they were banking on the agave to make it sweet, however, if you don't put it in there it's not going to be sweet. The amazing waitress we had asked if we wanted more drinks and we ordered a coconut daiquiri, and a pina colada. Both Frozen. And they tasted identical. Different prices, identical drinks minus the Cherry. The coconut daiquiri had a cherry where as the Pina colada did not. The food however was alright I guess. Just stupid expensive. Our waitress was truly amazing though. We will not be visiting this place again it was very much a let down. Spent over $80 and didn't even get what we asked for, and the food was nothing...

I thought we were going to be a group of 12, but turned out to be 9 of us. We arrived at our reservation time, they gave us chips and salsa and drinks. Took our order for our meal. We had been sitting at the table for a FULL HOUR before our meals were served, no one offered additional chips or salsa, I felt lucky to get a refill on my drink! When the meals did arrive, two of the orders were completely wrong! But by then, my mom was so hungry, she didn't want to switch hers out, and my friend had ordered chicken fajita tacos, but got beef fajita instead - and the waitress only offered to bring a dish of chicken fajita meat! Terrible. Should have been replaced! Then we had asked for the bills to be split a certain way, but the girl brought each individual a separate check. Because of the large group, they had already applied a 20% gratuity, which I am fine with, but when I asked the girl to run 3 tickets on one credit card with $6 cash to be applied to the total bill before running the card, she ran 3 individual checks on my card (3 separate times) but did NOT apply the $6 cash towards my payment! She said she couldn't do just one charge to my card because she had already separated the checks. Girl needs to learn some math, or maybe some manners, or maybe both. If you don't know how to do what is requested of you by your customer, then get your manager! 🙄 The plates the meals were served on were beautiful and the interior design of the place was lovely and comfortable, but the service, at least on this particular visit, far surpassed any other factors. It will be a long time before I go back, and I will not...

This spot is totally my jam when it comes to Yucatan influenced Mexican food. 🥑 Note: This restaurant is Not Tex-Mex style food, it is more authentic Mexican food that is Yucatan style, so if you have a friend or partner that likes that style, I would read the menu carefully and ask them lots of questions. 😉 (They're all incredibly knowledgeable about the food and here and also super helpful and friendly too) My favorite dish so far has been their beef and shrimp fajitas. 🍤 They were mouth watering and I had to make myself stop eating them. Their Matiyas or the Yucatan style fajitas are also quite delicious and are very flavorful too. A close second favorite would have to be the De Huitlacoche which were the chile rellenos with a Mexican corn truffle, roasted corn, and chile de arbol, topped with queso Oaxaca 🧀, and mole rojo sauce (Their mole sauce is really on point☝️) Also all of their enchiladas that I have tried are some of the best damn enchiladas I have ever put in my mouth.😋 Especially the suizas chicken enchiladas, my fav ones, but also the Mole enchiladas and the vegetarian enchiladas are excellent choices too. You can't really go wrong with these if you like enchiladas, just be mindful that spices in the pulled pork ench. and the conchitas are all the slow cooked and shredded Yucatan style though, so I would read up on it first just to make sure you ask questions and that it is complimentary for your taste buds and style. It definitely was for mine and my tummy I will for sure be a returning customer, again and again. 👍

Extremely overpriced, bad food, and overcharged! Do not go here! With all the delicious Mexican cuisine options in Austin- stay clear of this place. Ordered chicken fajitas for 2 ($40!) and I’m almost certain they served us frozen Tyson chicken with fake char marks. It was tough and completely unseasoned. When I say unseasoned, I mean literally none. With a mountain of onions and exactly 2 green pepper strips on the entire platter. They did not come sizzling which tells me it’s not being made correctly. They served it with WHITE RICE that had bits of corn in it, what looked like canned beans, and runny sour cream. It was a disgusting meal. On top of that- we ordered the fundido as an appetizer. They charged us $16 for it, more than the cost written in the menu. For a bowl of greasy Monterey Jack cheese. That was almost as much as the fajitas for one which they were charging $18. I had the best tacos of my life for $2.50 at a food truck the day before. Our bill was $80 for “fajitas”, cheese and 2 tiny margaritas. Absurd. By the time we got the check I was beyond ready to leave and it wasn’t worth my time arguing over the bill so just paid it and left. The service was also terrible. We waited 20 minutes for our check. Only positive was that the interior was nice.
