I’m not someone who complains and I have never felt to need to publicly share my feelings, but I had an experience with the Daisy’s garage manager today that upset me enough to put my feelings in writing. I wanted to take lunch to my niece and her husband who just had a baby. I knew I had a small window of time because her 1:00pm visit with another family. Because it was very close to her house, I called Daisy’s Garage at 11:40am and placed an order and was told by the manager the food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I arrived at Daisy’s to pick it up at 12:00pm. The staff rang up my order and told me it was almost ready. The manager and two other staff were very nice and apologized a couple times because it seemed to be taking a while to get the food. At 12:25pm I texted my niece to tell her I still didn’t have the food. And by this time I was quite upset and I cry when I am frustrated, mad, or upset which is embarrassing. The manager came up to me and said he didn’t know 2 large parties were coming in when he took my call and said he would go to the kitchen and push my order through. I explained to him that it may too late. My niece then texted me back and said they could find something else to eat before their guests arrived. The manager came out with my food at 12:30pm, handed it to me and apologized. I was shocked that he didn’t offer to make it right in any way. I walked to to the door and decided to come back and talk to the lady who had been helping me, I told her at this point I needed to just get a refund. She said she would have the manager refund my money but said I should just keep the food. She took me to the manager, placed the food on the bar and said he would refund my money. He went to the register and came back to me and said he refunded the money and then grabbed the bag of food and walked away. When I was leaving the other lady looked at me funny and I said he kept the food. She looked surprised and profusely apologized. The cost of the food was $47.00 plus I gave a tip which did not appear to be refunded. This makes me sad because I love the food here but it will be very difficult to go back or recommend it to someone else with that kind of treatment. I am giving the man grace because he did what he thought was right. I hoped someone else was able to enjoy the food and that it did not get...

The expos eat off of employees food before it is taken out to there tables.
2.They don't put date labels on food, so nobody knows how long condiments or other food has been in the cooler or freezer, but they still use the food anyways.
Cooks wear dirty clothing attire to work that rubs in people's food when standing on the heater the food is left under.
It's rare to see employees wash there hands.
Steaks and burgers are over cooked 50% of the time.
Fries, knmac n cheese, tator tots, and mashed potatoes normally come out cold because all they do is heat it inside the microwave before sending your food back.
If you complain your food is cold, all they do is stick it in the microwave before sending it back to you.
employees smoke cigarettes and hibernate in the bathroom on there phone in the middle of lunch or dinner rushes, that may be the reason why it takes awhile to get your food.
Expos do not use gloves in the back, while gathering your food, so yes this means they are touching your food with there fingers (note they barely wash there hands).
Employees will eat there own food while trying to prepare your order. This is wrong because, they forget to get your food out to you as quick as possible, and if there touching there mouth and serving your food to you that is a health violation.
Dining room is cramped together, so servers are always running into your tables. As well as you can't have a conversation without the table next to you hearing every word you say.
Employee's get overwhelmed when it's busy (which is more than understandable) but when they throw pans at the wall and pick them up and re use them that's another health violation.
Be careful there are no hard chunks of food on your plate, a lot of times dishes are not very clean. As well as bar glasses tend to have sediments left on the bottom of them, and lip stick marks around the rim.
I hope a lot of you get the chance to read this, because when I was told by a former employee about what happens inside what we don't see I was very disturbed.
But if you can look past that, servers there are friendly and do there...
Read moreI hate having to write this review since the manager did take the lobster and crawfish off the bill but people and maybe even the health department need to know!! First time trying Daisys garage definitely won't be back! Ordered the steam pot added a whole lobster and pound of crawfish - we asked server if any of it was frozen and was told the crawfish crab and lobster were frozen so we didn't have high expectations... I was craving seafood and we go to red lobster a lot so decided to give this place a shot since there are no other options in this area for seafood.... steam pot was served initial appearance looked great even took a pic - hubby broke the tail off the lobster to find the inside ice cold somewhat frozen also it only had one claw! So immediately called the server who took the lobster and it's one claw off the table and said it would be taken care of... so we continued to eat crawfish which were rubbery which we expected but the taste was horrible. I can still taste it an hour after we ate while I'm writing this review at home... potatoes were ok not great - corn, sausage, and toast were good. Crab was pretty good as well.... so here comes the server with the same lobster head broke off and this time his other claw miraculously appeared! So basically put the lobster he broke open and stuck his finger in back in the main pot!! So obviously I called the manager over explained the situation and gave him our opinion on the rest of the steam pot... like I said initially he did remove the lobster and craw fish from the bill which we appreciated but will...
