Hy-Vee Market Grille Cedar Rapids — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

I went here last weekend with my boyfriend for breakfast, the seating area wasn't very clean but we found a booth that was okay. Our food didn't take long because we called ahead, and when we went to grab silverware all of the forks were dirty. My boyfriend asked the staff in the back if they could wash two of the forks for us and after a long wait they refilled the entire fork bin and somehow they were all dirtier than before! There were chunks of food inbetween every prong and the knives also had heavy residue on them and they were dripping wet. During all of this our server was nowhere to be found and we ended up getting plastic single-use cutlery from the dispenser outside of the seating area. By then the food was lukewarm and potatoes had gone cold, the taste was fine but mediocre overall and my boyfriend and I both decided not to dine-in if we ever wanted breakfast from...

It was about 7:30 when we got there and sat down and they closed at 10. They literally started closing the place down with us sitting there eating. We were one of a handful of tables in the restaurant when they started sweeping, mopping and putting all of the chairs up in the entire restaurant while in the middle of our meal. I have never experienced such terrible service and from the entire staff. The manager of the restaurant was the one encouraging them to do all of these things so we couldn’t even say anything. We were in the mood for a hamburger and knew their Sunday special was buy 1 get 1 half off and showed up during happy hour and enjoyed our beers for half off as well.
