We are from out of town and we had two hours between games to get dinner. We came to this place because of the reviews. It had a fun atmosphere. Once inside, they said it’d be a 30min or so wait before a table or two would be ready. We put our names on the list and I noticed that it was a 45min wait to order pizzas to go. So I placed an online order for 3 pizzas ($89) so that by time we got our table, our food wouldn’t be far behind, thinking outside the box. Well apparently that’s a no no and I was never told that until I got a surprise bill. I was then told that I messed up the kitchen because orders are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Not sure how I messed anything up as far as the order because I didn’t cut any lines, just ran the clock concurrently by asking that they serve us the pizza I had ordered online once it was up(leaving it on a pizza pan rather than putting it a box…apparently is asking too much). As a result I was charged $23.38 for ‘open food’ after having ordered/paid for pizza online and was told that was gratuity for messing up their kitchen and was charged an additional $7.55 for gratuity for the pizza that was delivered to the tables. Our party was willing to be split up due to how large we were so we ended up on opposite ends of the restaurant. One table received no follow up service, drinks weren’t refilled and one didn’t even get her first drink when everyone else did, they had to request it multiple times. I initially was going to leave $20 cash on the table for a tip but was brought out another bill with 28% mandatory gratuity regardless of the quality of service, not my idea of good service. I was so confused by the whole process, I put my cash away since they said I had to pay this amount due to messing up the kitchen even though nobody mentioned that when I told them I had ordered pizzas online. The manager came over and said she never came over but she would have told me that I I shouldn’t have been allowed a table since I ordered pizzas to go regardless that we stood for 40min waiting for the tables. Had I been told that up front we could have just taken the pizzas to go but I wasn’t given that option to save the myself $23.38 plus tax. Nothing like open communication. I walked out before paying the second bill with the mandatory gratuity. They called me to tell me if I didn’t come back the server would have to cover the bill, I obviously had no intention on skipping out on that part of the bill, I was just so confused by the whole process, I went back and paid it but needless to say we won’t...
Read moreMeh- Should preface this by saying I used to frequent this restaurant a couple times a week or more for a year or so.. I always ate the same thing-A tenderloin basket( With a ranch salad and waffle fries) or a cheeseburger and sometimes pizza if with friends-I moved-but last saturday I was in town and over near Leonardo's( I heard it had changed hands) but thought I would love a Tenderloin basket like I used to have so often a few years back. WELL.. I get it( in a small pizza box) with the fries piled on top of my salad because it was a decent sized loin and no room in box. So I left the lid open so I could drive a couple blocks back to my old place . When I get there I immediately dive in because I was starving-Loin ws OK--just ok--Not like I remembered but still good. the salad was inedible because it had turned slimy being in the box covered with fries-I had also ordered a side of Honey mustard for my overhang on the bun and also my fries-I never got the honey mustard. But used the ranch I had for the salad I couldn't eat.( best ranch dressing I have ever had--I could drink a half gallon) I paid almost eleven dollars . It wasn't as good as I remember--was just Meh. ( loin had no taste and I think maybe the oil was old) fries were good . Salad..well. RIP! :) I hope this helps-It is an honest review -I want nothing for free-I once loved Leo's but now... meh. Also one guy in the kitchen had a mask partially on and the one who took my money had nothing-I am not a freak about masks but I work in foodservice and have my whole life and I would have worn the mask properly and proudly because I know I am doing it to help protect my customers who choose to spend their...
