North Point — Restaurant in Cedar Rapids

Not a horrible place. We were there for a company party, so the place was closed to the public and we were the only ones there. It was very open. In the way back they had games, like cornhole. I didn't really go back there so I'm not sure what else was back there. And there is a pool table up front. The only thing that bothered me was its location. It's behind other stores, so you kinda have to know where you're going or else you'll miss it. The entrance is in between two businesses and farther back. But, obviously, they can't do anything about that, so it just is what it is. I did like the size of the place and how airy it felt, the ceilings are really high, I think it was just a warehouse that they converted into a bar. But, all in all, it's an okay b ar. Not the best, definitely not high scale. I don't know how much drinks cost because ours...

I used to really enjoy going there but the last time I was there I encountered a big German Shepherd dog that was allowed to roam through late at night while people were drinking I ask if the man could please not bring that kind of dog towards us and I was told off by him and then the bartender come out and told me off without even asking what happened. I was told dogs are allowed on the patio and that's okay. I love dogs but I don't think a German Shepherd breed should be allowed to roam through a crowd of drunken people at a bar late at night there's a time and place for everything. You never know what can trigger this breed of dog and I just think it's common sense not to allow a German Shepherd into a crowd of drunken people late at night but maybe I'm crazy. This place is very large and has tons of potential! Outside area is awesome. Inside is great too but seems to be lacking in "bar/venue" material, again, this place is very large which doesn't help that feeling. Plus overhead lights were on all night really pulling back the bar feel. It almost felt like closing time the whole evening. The staff definitely made up for the building shortfalls.
