Shandy's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Celina

Was excited to eat here. Had heard good things, and have really been searcjhing this northwest corner of Ohio for several years for good batter dipped Cod. I will say they fine a great job with the decor and the remodeling, it was very comfortable and clean. Waitress was a little busier helping someone she knew even though they arrived after I did. The food come out quick as they weren't really busy at 4:30 on a Friday, but seemed to be gearing up to get there. The food was pretty tasty but, I spent $20 plus tip on a drink and food, and left hungry. The fish while well battered were no bigger than fish sticks, the FF,s were very good and there was a fair supply of those, and maybe 2 tablespoons of coleslaw, whic also was very good. I gave it 3 stars primarily because there was literally no fish inside the batter, and because when I mentioned to the waitress all I heard was sorry, as she handed me the bill. Tbh, Od of paid a little more, for a little more food, and definitely would have rated better if there was some fish in the batter and I didn't leave hungry. We had the worst experience ever. We went prior to dinner rush. When we walked in there were about 10 other total people. They sat us in the back. There was no one else. Took about 5 mins before anyone even came to take drink orders. When they did a few of us couldn't even get what we wanted off the menu because they only run the machines at a certain time. Anyways they came back with our drinks. After 52 mins of waiting with no one coming to check on us or to explain why it was taking so long they finally showed up with our food. COLD!!! so almost an hour no waitress. No explanation. And cold food. Only one person in our party had hot food. Pretty sad when all you order is salad Mac and cheese and wings. Doesn't take that long. And definitely could have been hot. After sitting for about 10 mins to get our waitresses attention. She comes over and we explain what was going on. They did want to replace it but after a total wait time of over an hour for cold food we had enough. They couldn't even understand why we were upset. They just said they were busy. We will not...

This is my second time eating at Shandys Grill & Bar. This time my wife and I both had the three-piece cod. Which was cooked absolutely perfectly. We also ordered a caesar salad and 10 bone-in wings. The salad was very good. The wings on the other hand we're just okay. I mean, we ate them but I was so hoping for better. The real issue here that I must point out is there dipping sauces. They really need upgraded to a better quality. The tartar sauce almost taste like it had soured. I also had ranch and blue cheese which tasted like they were bought at Walmart or something. There are better brands out there, please check into them. You make very wonderful food, please don't degrade it with cheap dipping sauces. The service and atmosphere here are spot on.
