I heard really good reviews about this place from friends but from the moment I walked in everything exceeded expectation at every level. The decor and ambiance is comparable to top lounges/restaurants I’ve visited in the Middle East , I can tell they focused on tiny details and I believe they imported their furniture from overseas to mimic an old traditional setting that you would rarely find any where around the US. The food tastes better than food I’ve tried back home , they are very generous when it comes to the ingredients use like the tahini used in the hummus (most places try to use low cost ingredients but this is definitely not one of them). They also make their pita in-house and the shawarma / falafel is a must try . We got Knafeh for desert and the picture I posted says it all .I haven’t tried the other items but I heard everything is very good and portions are very generous. We also order tea and hookah , the tea came in a traditional pot and done the traditional way , the hookah is also really good and the flavour lasted for at least 3 hrs. Overall you can tell the owners are trying to go above and beyond with the service provided. I will be back tho try other items on the menu and they said they will also be adding more stuff...

They redid this as very different since management change. (It was great before) Never felt so disrespected. When we first walked in everyone looked us over so right off we should have left until they brought my son a hookah, then we were partially accepted. Still felt uneasy. Very pricey food with a can of Coke for $5.00! You can get a 6 pack of bottled coke for $2.99 at Kings! Food was alright however I was not sure what I was eating as the sandwich was a little gritty and when I asked, the waiter was abrupt and in a hurry. I was sitting so low in the chair, I could not eat comfortably. Very smoky in there and uncomfortable for spending over $70.00 for two people. It was my son's birthday and we were looking forward to returning to what once was a great place. I write for restaurants and this is not a place I will return to. Give everyone respect! Get to know people before you...

This was our second visit after a very long time to this Alibaba location. Our first experience was wonderful, BUT UNFORTUNATELY this time it was Horrible. It took them so long to bring out our order. OVER 40 minutes we were waiting on our food. The food was also cold once they brought it to our table like its been sitting in the kitchen for a long time. Service and the friendless of the staff was no better. If you are busy and the food takes longer to make, it shouldn't be also cold and stale. Also Offering to take one Entree off the check from a whole meal that was stale doesn't really show you care about the customer. We weren't going to wait another 40 minutes in a establishment with poor service for a free desert! During the Holy month of Ramadan we need to have special respect and service for people around us. No matter how busy you are customer service always...

Authentic and flavorful food, great atmosphere, excellent service, and clean bathroom. We got Hummus, Fatah Hummus, Tomato Cassarole, Falafel, and Turkish coffee. The Hummus, both of them, we're authentic and very flavorful. The tomato cassarole was good, bit spicy. All the food came with bread to dip in. The falafel were just excellent. Super soft, green on the inside, freshly made. Turkish coffee was also good. The atmosphere is really nice around lunch time. Quiet, spacious, comfortable. Especially the Arabic seating. The Hookah was on point too. We wanted a light one and they gave a good recommendation. The bathrooms were clean, and the entire staff was helpful and communicative. The entire experience was good end to end, the prices were reflective of the quality and authenticity of the food you get. Highly recommend trying Alibaba.

Alibaba restaurant & Hookah Lounge is the place for a casual dine-in while enjoying middle eastern comfort food. This location is in Southlands and it is more of a laid back lounge with chill vibes. We went for brunch and ordered their hummus with sautéed steak and arayes. The steak on the hummus was cooked well and had a juicy flavor to it which made it go well with the hummus. It comes with two fluffy pitas. The arayes is made out of minced beef and lamb which made it flavorful. It is more on the heavier side because of the amount of meat they make it with. Comes with a side of fries in a cute fry basket. Their refreshing fresh lemon mint drink was perfect to have with this meal!
