This place was one of the best PHO places when it first opened about 8-10 years ago. However, it had consistently declined, in a number of ways, to our chagrin. Like many others have mentioned, prices have increased, which is understandable in this economy. And they truly do have one of of the best broths available in our area. That said, we ordered in for this evening, and a VERY standard order for my wife and myself. To say I was disappointed, would be an understatement. My wife always orders pho ga, and I get tai nam. Both very standard. I literally had 6 very thinly sliced pieces about 3/4-1” square of meat and my wife received about 5 ‘shreds’ of over boiled chicken breast. Add to that, we had a single bag of accoutrements (bean sprouts, basil, etc) for what I would consider maybe enough for a single dish. Let alone, no chopsticks/utensils. Sure, it could have been a bad day, we all have those, along with staffing issues that the service industry is experiencing, but this is the third in a row for us and our neighbors with the same experience a few weeks ago, as well. We always try to buy local, close to home, etc, but this will be our last order here. Buyer beware.

When this place is on point, their pho is very good. Check the clarity of the broth. This pic should tell how good this place is. Broth is not cloudy, not too oily. Noodles al dente but soften just enough after soaking in the broth. Meat wasnt too hard or too soft and just enough to balance the bowl. Im not one who loves too much meat or noodle, it overwhelms the pho. It should be balanced, and pho 97 did that for me today. Cam on

I ordered through Doordash, so I cannot speak for the service. Though not traditional I ordered the seafood pho, which was fantastic aside from the mussels which were just OK, not the most fresh. The papaya salad with shrimp was excellent but not spicy. I'll definitely order their more traditional, beef pho soon. Price was good on the pho, the salad was a bit expensive.

Warning! NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. Multiple F-BOMBS by and employee. I placed an order online for the Smokey Hill location using the Beyond Menu website (we've always called it in previously). When I arrived the young woman asked what I ordered and couldn't find it. I wasn't worried, I was early for once and had the time to wait. She found my order by the telephone and asked her associate about it. He got instantly angry and said "I called twice, no one F###ing answered." This while they are both standing right in front of me. They go to the back, to start on my order, and he's still yelling at her for some reason with more F-bombs. I'm a little in shock at this point. The place wasn't full, but there were a few tables occupied by customers, including families. It was obvious what had happened, but I expected someone to apologize or at least explain that they would get the order started right away. When the guy brought my food, I said, "You could have left a voicemail, of course I didn't answer a number I didn't know". He replied angrily, "I don't care, you should answer your phone, I called twice to confirm your order". (I'm not sure what needed to be confirmed for a $20 online order that I paid for already). When I tried to explain again that he could have left a message, he replied, "I don't know why you have a F&&&& phone if you don't use it." In disbelief, I left. Making eye contact with patrons as I left, they had the same wide-eyed shocked expression as I did. It's unfortunate, we've been coming here for years, but I don't know when I last saw such poor customer service and crude language. Not to mention the abuse the young woman that worked there had to endure...

This place is 5-stars, I'm only giving this place a 3-star to keep it under 4-star review (currently at 3.8) because that's how you know it's a LEGIT Vietnamese restaurant not pandering to the uncultured tastes of people who only eat at 4.5~ star restaurants, which is like 90% of the places in Denver (mostly bad).

I'm originally from Southern California, home of the largest population of Vietnamese people in the USA, so my standard for Pho is very high. Every Pho restaurant I've eaten at in Denver has been nothing but a disappointment. Except this place. This will be the ONLY Pho restaurant I will patron for the rest of my time in this state.

Food is a 5/5. The broth is fantastic and the prices are unbelievably cheap. A small bowl is only 8 dollars and you leave here feeling like you can't eat the rest of the day. Unlike what other reviewers say, you get a ton of meat, and the noodles do not disintegrate in your mouth like in every other Pho restaurant in the state. The noodle quality is on a different level compared to any other restaurant and deserve the 5-stars alone.

Service and atmosphere is a 5/5. It's the Asian gold standard. The worker fills up your water when it's only halfway without a single word. He stands there, one Airpod in, but always watching if you need anything. Nobody comes up to you and asks, "How's the food?" unnecessarily. They can take your order without writing it down, and don't miss a single thing.

I am so happy to have discovered this place because I had no hope left for Pho in Denver. I was beginning to think that there really was no edible Pho in this state. But thanks to Pho 97, that hope...

I want to start by expressing that my disappointment does not lie with the server who served us. She was exceptionally friendly and provided good service. However, our overall experience was marred by a mistake made by the cook. They initially got our order wrong, and when they attempted to rectify the situation, the replacement order had fewer noodles than originally requested.

What made the situation even more disheartening was the manager's response when he brought out the order. Instead of offering an apology or acknowledging the mistake, he made a comment about charging us double for dine and dash, when it was the cooks fault for not completing the order correctly. While it may have been intended as a joke, there appeared to be a hint of seriousness behind it.

Considering the fact that we spent over $100 at the restaurant, it is disappointing to not receive the level of service and attention to detail that one would expect. This particular experience has left a negative impression, and regrettably, we have decided that this will be our last visit to the restaurant. Additionally, we found that the establishment did not provide a family-friendly atmosphere, which further contributed to...
