This is a great place for GF, DF, Keto & Vegan options. I picked up some of their Keto cupcakes as well as their GF, DF cupcakes today. Loved both cupcake types, no complaints there. Beautiful & yummy. Nice to not have to worry about cross contamination with ingredients. I can't say enough about the staff. Sweet, courteous, & helpful. They make you feel like you're an old friend that comes by daily even if it's your first time there! I also wanted to try some of their savory options so I picked up one of their sausage burritos and a pork arepa. I really enjoyed the "sausage" burrito. It's actually chorizo which is in the description, but I have to say that it was scant. Very little chorizo inside but when you did get a little bite of it, it was good! The red salsa is not spicy, very tiny kick, good salsa flavor. I was told the green chili sauce was spicy so I didn't try it. The arepa, I LOVE arepas. When I can't have a Mexican gordita, arepas are like its cousin and can satisfy the craving. I really wanted to like this one. It was ok. Nothing will compare to an authentic, fried, crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, black bean, meat & cheese arepa so I'm not comparing it to that. This arepa was ok for a healthier alternative. Good corn flavor & of course GF! The texture was a little dry. The filling was interesting. It was a red pork filling but I still expected it to be savory since it was called a Venezuela Pork Arepa. The meat fillings are savory. The pork in this one was sweet. It reminded me of a BBQ shredded pork kind of filling. Like what you would find in a pulled pork sandwich. I don't care for sweet meats in my arepas so I didn't finish it. Different for sure. I'll try a different type next time I'm in because I'll definitely be back for more sweets and will try some of their other savory dishes too! Great find, highly recommend the sweets.

As newcomers to the Highlands Ranch community, it was exciting to find a locally owned Bakery that produces GF, DF, and vegan goods. Over the last several months my wife and I have sampled (hahaha, more like 'wolfed' down!), a variety of the offerings from Wave the Grain, and I am excited to report that Allyson and her team of bakers have mastered the art of creating tasty and healthy baked goods, especially their cakes and Biscuits!! OMG, their biscuits are absolutely drop everything and go get them awesome! They are so good you can gift them to your Grandmother and become her favorite grandchild! Now, it's true that the texture of healthy baked items differs from the gluten, egg, and butter-laden products we have been accustomed to, but it's only because we did not have an alternative. Meaning, if all you have ever known is Vanilla ice cream, you would think that Chocolate ice cream is the weirdest thing ever. So if you are committed to your health and you want to indulge in some really good and healthy baked goods, you deserve to experience Wave the Grain. If nothing else, you will love the friendly staff members who are always excited to serve. Thank you, Allyson and your entire team for bringing yummy to the GF, DF, Vegan community. #LiveRemarkably #StevieGPhoto

There is a reason this place has SO many 5 star reviews, it's AMAZING! I have been to many gluten-free bakeries on the East Coast and now that I live here, in Colorado. This is hands-down the BEST bakery that I have ever been to! The first time I came to this bakery the owner greeted me with a smile and introduced me to her sweets and other goodies that are available. I came back for my Bachelorette Party/30th Birthday and ordered rosette cupcakes that were BEAUTIFUL! I love popping in last minute for a cupcake, cake, scone, and their burritos are great as well along with their donuts! Their cupcakes are the best I've ever had, even before I was gluten-free (I have celiacs) I would still say that they make the best! The icing is dairy-free, thick, creamy, and so sweet. It's hard to find BOTH gluten and dairy-free options and they are doing an amazing job at accomodating both!

I arrived on 12-21-21 to pick up my special order. The employee could not find it and without explaining where she was going or what she was doing she walked out of the front door of the store leaving me standing there (I guess they are using the space next door to bake in) when she returned she was holding the special order slip in her hand and she said to me "you changed the pick up date to the 22nd." I could see that someone had crossed out the original pick up date and written in the 22nd but I was sent an email stating that my order would be done on 12-21-21 after 9:00. I showed the employee my email. She then asked me if I could come back tomorrow to pick up the order. I did not want to rush over here again on my lunch hour. The store is close to my work but not to my home and they close before I get off of work. I was disappointed but not angry and I said to the employee "well maybe I will cancel the order and just buy some cup cakes from the case." Her reply shocked me. She got belligerent with me and said " I can't sell them to you they have not been made yet, I have nothing to sell to you." I repeated myself and she said "so you want to cancel the order?" and I said "yes." and without another word she walked out of the store once again leaving me standing at the counter while she went next door to tell the baker that I was cancelling my order. The proper thing to do would have been to apologize for the inconvenience and to package up what ever items I selected to replace the special order that they failed to make for me and then go tell the baker that I was cancelling my order. The manager or owner was sitting at a table talking to a sales rep while this was going on and all she had to say to me was that if I wanted to wait she was about to finish some strawberry swirl cupcakes if I would be interested in those instead. Not one person uttered the words "I'm sorry" or said anything like "this was our mistake, how can we make it right." No one offered me a discount, no free product, nothing but attitude from the employee who was so bent out of shape because she had to keep running back to the baker. It's a shame because it is a niche bakery serving a special audience, those who can't eat wheat or dairy and I heard that they opening a second store in a location that is close to where I live but after the way they handled this situation I will never spend a dime at...

Stopped by this little local neighborhood Mom and Pop (privately owned) gluten-free bakery after Church for our little girl (whose tummy doesn't like gluten).

I worked at/in health food stores for over 16 years, and we shop at Natural Grocers regularly. I have to tell you, gluten free baked goods are NOT always tasty, but THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC.

From the cheery smiles behind the counter, to the delectable bakery choices (donuts, cupcakes, tarts, cakes, pies, and more... ) my whole family was pleasantly surprised by our whole experience here.

THE CUPCAKES WERE AMAZING. Now I must try them all! My daughters loved their treats, and the rest of my family heartily approved of their desserts, and now none of us will have gluten-induced tummy-aches or brain fog!

We will be returning regularly (probably after Church or Sunday lunch), to gratefully sample the rich and creamy gastronomic confections here at Wave the Grain and satisfy our sweet tooths!!

THANK YOU to the Wave the Grain staff for making your mindful talents available to us all!! If everyone shared their giftedness in such a functional manner, the world would indubitably be a MUCH better place. Thank for following your passions!

"Work is love made visible. And all work is empty save when there is love. And when you work with love you bind yourself to yourself, and to one another, and to God. And what is it to work with love? It is to charge all things you fashion with a breath of your own spirit. For if you bake bread with indifference, you bake a bitter bread that feeds but half man’s hunger." Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet-

"My heart took delight in all my work, and this was the reward for all my labor." King Solomon, Ecclesiastes 2:10b-

"There is nothing better for them than to rejoice and do good while they live,Ā and also thatĀ every man should eat and drink and find satisfaction in all his labor—this is the gift of God." King Solomon,...
