We went to Los Dos Potrillos in Centennial for an early dinner with our kids, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. It was one of our kids' birthdays, and the staff truly made it special. We were told the wait would be about 15 minutes, and right on time, we were seated. (By the time we were leaving, the wait was much longer — clearly a lot of people know how legit this place is!) The service was absolutely spectacular. From the hostess to our waiter, everyone was kind, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Our waiter, in particular, went above and beyond — engaging with us, making sure we had everything we needed, and making us feel taken care of. When he heard it was our daughter’s birthday, he made sure to surprise her at the end of the meal by singing and bringing out a sopapilla the size of a football! She was thrilled. The food was just as amazing. We had fajitas and chicken mole — both were perfectly seasoned, hot, and delicious. Our kids had meals from the kids' menu that were great, too. Everything felt fresh and authentic, and honestly, we were a little shocked (in the best way) to have such an incredible experience like this right in the Denver suburbs. We can’t wait to go back!

Mexican food is my favorite cuisine and this is the best Mexican food I have ever had. Not only is it great food, but they are consistently great over the years that I have eaten here, both food and service. The house margaritas are incredible, the queso is pricey but probably the best you’ll ever have and you get a large portion, the chips are thin, crisp, and fresh, the salsa has a decent kick to it and is delicious, the dishes served with pork green chili often come with pork medallions which are extremely tasty, on Wednesday they have a great mariachi band that plays (be sure to bring cash to tip!), and everything we have tried for entrees is incredible. My favorite entree is the 2 carne asada burritos. I can only eat one and they reheat great for leftovers. Even better if you have some leftover queso to add! I recently moved out of state and I am left with drooling over their instagram page now. If you live in the area and enjoy Mexican food and good music, be sure to stop by on a Wednesday night. You won’t regret it!

We visited this restaurant on Sunday 5/18 at around 2:45pm! The restaurant was pretty open and not too busy at all! We love, los Dos and have been to the Parker location numerous times! This visit to this location was one of my worst experiences , ever. Took 5 mins for a waiter to even greet us. Fine! All good. We were ready to order and all! Waited.. waited and waited… around 35/37 mins of sitting and still no food! I asked to speak to the manager, the female managers came to the table, stood there and looked at me. I asked “is your average wait time 35 minutes for food?” She responded “31 minutes…” uh ok. So I said “is your average wait time 31 minutes for food?” She responded “It’s number 41. It is so thick it takes a long time.” My 67 year old dad had ordered that. He literally apologized to my family at the table thinking he was holding up the table. She says the rest of the food had been ready. Wow? So Our food sat up there for 20 mins?! She said, “do you want to wait for his or do you wanna eat?” I said go ahead and bring the food out. Because I’m calling bluff. 5 more mins goes by and they bring my dads out first!! It was about an 1/8” “thick” are you kidding me?! There is no way in hell that took even 15 mins to cook!!! Following his food, was my mom’s my eight-year-old, daughters, taquitos. Mine was last. A stuffed Sopapilla. She tells me she has to make a new one cause mine was soggy? Uh ok. I cut into mine and it’s not even made right! lol nothing was in it! A pile of shredded beef on TOP of a corner of a sopapilla! The menu specifically says with refried beans add chicken or beef for $2. I asked to speak to the manager again. I cut open the sopapilla and showed her there was no beans at all. She says “you ordered beef”. The fact that I could recite the order description on the menu better than her unacceptable. At this point we’ve been waiting 45 mins. I’m pretty upset. She’s lied several times, no accountability for WHATEVER Or WHOEVER made a mistake on her line. Because this could’ve been SO easy. And allowed my dad to apologize for her lie. If she would’ve said, “I’m sorry my waiter forgot to put it in” “I’m sorry the chef is behind” “I’m sorry the ticket got lost” anything!! Not making my dad feel bad and pretending we were crazy. As a business owner of 22 years and a mother to a chef (who works in a kitchen at a restaurant) The phrase I am disappointed is an understatement. The bill was comped. Which is appreciated. But the way this was handled...

We used to be regulars here, and have been going to the Holly St location specifically for almost a decade. Today will be our last takeout order for the foreseeable future.

The “magic” this place used to have is long gone. I almost always get the street tacos - 2 chicken, 2 pork - but for the past couple of months, I have no idea what I’m actually going to get when I open that box. Today it was half steak. And for both meats, about 3/4 of what they used to give you. The sidecar of fresh toppings that’s supposed to include plentiful fresh chopped cilantro, was a few spoonfuls of mostly chopped cilantro stem. At least the avocado wasn’t half black and brown this time, so that was a small plus. Though the manager did comp the tacos when my husband called to complain, which we of course appreciated, lunch was still ruined. We are more than happy to pay full price for the food we actually ordered.

Also, very unfortunately, the tacos weren’t the only issue. The house salsa was like spiced tomato water. None of the savory depth of flavor we’ve come to expect from them over the years. The special salsa for the street tacos was also blander than usual. The queso appetizer was brown and lumpy. The house margaritas were CLEARLY made wrong - they were a totally different color than usual, without the cloudy greenish tint one expects, and they tasted off too.

We spent $70 - $100 with tip every time we went here. We expect better, and we will find it - elsewhere.

Thanks for the good times while they lasted, Los Dos on Holly. Hope you find...

We ordered Tortilla Soup, Carne Asada Street Tacos, a Chile Relleno and side of beans.

All dishes other than the torilla soup were barely warm, so technically, this meal deserves 1 or at most 2/5. I judge restaurants on their ability to serve food meant to be hot, hot!

Carne Asada was well done and dry, this was completely cold. 1 of the 4 tacos had no meat on it. They were obviously assembled as 4 tortillas on a plate and Carne Asada quickly flopped over them. I had to rearrange the entire plate. There was no assemblance of 4 tacos. I give the Carne Asada street tacos 2/5. The tortillas were home made and 5/5 so I will bump the tacos to 3/5.

Refried beans were cold. 1/5. This was the only dish I asked to have a redo on even though all should have been sent back as they were cold. Beans were nearly flavorless and completely cold.

Chile Relleno, was tasty, at least seemed home made vs the egg roll type I have had at some places. 3/5. It was decent, but nothing like grandma makes. Again. Cheese was barely warm.

The Relleno was smothered in green chili, which I was glad to see, but the green chili was no more than green chili and tomato. Green Chili... 2/5. Green chili was pretty much cold.

The tortilla soup, although hardy and tasty was realy succotash with chicken and a little broth and tortillla strips. If you are expecting soup it is a complete disappointment. Otherwise it was the best thing they served. Since it is not tortilla...
