McDonald's — Restaurant in Center

I have not had a good experience at this McDonald's in years so I don't eat here very much but this morning at 2:30 am, we were on our way home from a job and since choices are so limited at this time of day, we decided to pick up food here. That was a mistake. Even though the website says they are open 24 hours and it was confirmed by the business 5 days ago, they never said anything when we were there waiting to order. There was another car in the other lane that was there before we got there. They were honking the horn. We asked them if anyone had acknowledged them and they said no. We drove on up to the 1st window, no one in site so we proceeded to the second window, still no one in site. We honked the horn several times, still no signs of life. We called them on the phone and a girl answered. We asked if they were open. She said they would be open in about 30 minutes. We asked why their website said they are open 24 hours if they were closed right now. She said something about the system had to go down and then she just hung up the phone. I can understand if the system has to go down for a while at some point but what I don't understand is why the employees on duty could not be bothered to at least explain the situation to their customers when they pull up to order. It makes me wonder what the employees were doing inside that they seemed to be unaware of people trying to order. They are getting paid to be there. It doesn't seem like too much to ask for them to acknowledge their customers. We wound up going across to Whataburger and the food and service there was great. If you are ever in a position to need food in the very early hours of the morning, I would suggest you save yourself a hassle and just bypass McDonald's and go straight to...

Very fast service. I ordered a big Mac. And 10 piece nuggets I had my food within 2 minutes. The young woman Melissa is very good at her job and she deserves a raise. Kinequa is also very good at what she does . Both of these women deserve promotions. They were kind, courteous, and very fast. They move like the speed of God! I just want corporate to know that both of these women deserve promotions. My food was hot fresh and delicious thanks to them ! Keep up the great work y'all! My husband, two grandchildren and I ate at McDonald's. We ordered through the app. The food was hot, fresh, and customized correctly. The fries were amazing! The restaurant was clean and staffed appropriately. The restrooms were clean. Recommended!

Update: My husband and I ate breakfast at McDonald's again, today. Our egg McMuffins were hot and fresh. I had a delicious hot caramel macchiato, and my husband enjoyed an iced one. We ordered through the McDonald's app. The large, free parking lot was swept but needed pressure washing and was well-lit. The restrooms were clean and stocked. In the men's restroom, the hand dryer was broken, but there was a roll of paper towels provided.
