Mr. Pancho's Grill and Seafood — Restaurant in Central

As far as the food it was ok. The Special (Posile) was a soup with Chicken, hominy, cilantro, Pico and lime was pretty good but the rest was just ok. The kids chicken fingers were 2 small tenders that were mostly crunchy breading that my toddler wouldn't eat but the kids shrimp was good. The tacos were ok but shells seemed stale. The server was friendly but it was difficult bc he didn't speak great English. But here's where the issue is... he sat down my plate right between me and my 2yr old and said 'careful is hot.' To prevent my 2yr from touching it I tapped the side lightly to move it and immediately my skin was burnt. The plate must have come directly out of the oven, and literally burnt my finger which is now blistered (1hr later). If it had been my son that got burnt like that I would be calling a lawyer. Moreso when I told the waiter he said yes its hot but didn't understand my seriousness. When we told the manager she said 'ok thank you' and that was it, no apology. I straight told her you can not bring a plate right from the oven to a table especially next to a child... but again, nothing. I'm appalled that they didn't or wouldn't acknowledge that this was a serious matter. Was going to post a pic of the chicken fingers and my burnt finger but it's not allowing me. Definitely...

Service was terrible. Arrived @ 8pm on Friday night. Place was packed. There were only 3 people in my party. We were seated immediately. Waited 10 minutes before anyone came to table. When the server arrived, said to "bear with them" because they were so swamped. Went ahead and placed drink and food order. Waited for 20+ additional before we saw server again. Asked for him to check on food. 15 minutes later, he came to table to say he forgot to put order in and then had to double check our order again (It's now 8:45). He came to table several more times to apologize but he never did anything to improve the service. By 9pm, some of our party received their food. It wasn't the right food. At 9:15pm the rest of the party received their food, an hour & 15 minutes later. We didn't finish the food because we were chased out of the booth by a roach. We paid full price and received no discount whatsoever. Before I wrote a bad review, I wanted to give the owners an opportunity to make things right. However, I've left messages and gotten grief from those that answered the phones and one lady even said she's worked there for 16 years and they can't handle football weekend business. Super-friendly service and delicious food. I stopped here to use the bathroom on the way to a hike in the Clemson Experimental Forest a few miles up the road. The last mile of my 3-hour hike I was thinking about carnitas tacos. I just had to stop here on my way back. I checked the reviews, just to be sure, and they were good, so I happily patronized them as a thank you for their friendliness in letting me use the bathroom earlier. The place, though big, has a hole-in-the-wall feel--very down-home and unpretentious. It doesn't have a buffet, and it's clearly not a chain, so I don't know why it says that. They do have a large and varied menu. The carnitas plate I had was the real deal and was served piping hot. They have every Mexican beer that comes in a bottle or can and a few on tap, as well as Margaritas of different quality, flavor and sizes; sangria; and piña coladas. Highly...
