Good drinks and great hours, but hate the level of the music.
I’m here as a last resort. Mostly because I find it hard to concentrate here with the loud music. I use my own ear buds and play my own music to drown it out, but it’s so loud they I still hear it bleeding in.
So now I’ve got 2 songs fighting and I can’t hear either one right unless I crank my music up really loud. And I don’t because I don’t want to ruin my hearing. Like really? Coffee places should be earbud friendly. This is the only place I go to that has been like this.
I’ve tried to study here about 5-6 times on and off and the majority of the time the music is really cranked.
For studying literally go anywhere else.
I also knock stars back for their selection of Christian music. I’m Christian so have no problem with hearing Christian music. But they play all types of Christian music and some of it is better suited to my grandma. So they’ll go back and forth between a youthful more contemporary sound and then grandma era full on gospel music. And I have to reeeeeally be in the mood for it. So not work or study friendly for people like me.
Some people study there without any problems I notice. I am not one of them. I’m pretty self aware of my weird issues. I’m a visual learner and so when I read text I have to concentrate.
So all of you people that have to read your text books and concentrate on your writing too, do not study here. You’ll have huge problems with lots of interfering noise in your head.
I highly recommend going to the new Jimmies instead, the station, Santa’s...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped in recently for a coffee to go as walk-ins (we are a lesbian couple - no PDA or pride flags in tow). The place was very cute and clean and well decorated. The coffee was okay. Mild flavor, interesting syrup flavor (toffee nut latte). The young folks working were polite and very cool towards us. They didn’t make conversation, avoided eye contact, and were quiet, which felt pointed when we heard one of the baristas talk it up in a very friendly and talkative manner with another patron in the drive through. We got to hear her ask a child in the car if they were going to church and what they were going to learn from the their pastor today. We heard later the chain (of two) is owned a very Christian company. Which is fine (one of us is Christian). But it’s Christian to offer the same hospitality to all. Jesus welcomed all. We just didn’t feel we were treated the same as others at this location this visit. I doubt...
Read moreI don't normally stop at this coffee stand and here's another reason why...they assume too much. When someone gives you money for services, never assume that because they put some singles with the money they give you that that is your tip. Some people ( like me in this case) like to carry less ones in their wallet. I gave the fellow working 22 bucks for an almost 7 dollar coffee. That usually means, this case included, that they want 15 bucks back. I had a single ready for a tip for my coffee but the dude barista decided to put the 2 singles I gave him a long with my 20 into his tip jar and then hand me back the change for the price of my coffee. I hate to use the word entitled, but in this case there is no other word. I'm disappointed to say the least. Next time some else comes through your line, because it won't be me..ever, make sure you do your due diligence and not just steal...
