I wanted to love this place but can't support a business that lies to its customers.
I went in to get a part for my vacuum. The young man helping me searched but found they were out of stock. He told me that the piece would be 200$ and he could order it now. I told him I was going to do some searching online as I'd have to wait for the part anyway, and his response was good luck, you won't find it for cheaper than that, and that the manufacturer will take advantage of me as my vacuum is high end and they know we have the money if we wanted it bad enough.
I got home and began with the manufacturer website. The part (a wand) was 100$.
Look, I get businesses need to mark up items to turn a profit but a 100% retail markup?? And to lie to me?
I just received the new wand I ordered, along with some fresh filters and other accessories. The total for it all? Less than 200$.
Disappointing. Local business owners are supposed to be honest and hardworking. If you lie, you lose customers. Now I wonder if he didn't look at me the way he said the company reps would?
To the business-- get it together. We are in the internet age and online shopping is becoming the normal. You can't hide, just like car dealerships can't hide anymore. I would have bought for 130 at the store for convenience but now, you've lost someone who is a serious vacuum lover.
