L&L Hawaiian Barbecue — Restaurant in Ceres

We first ordered the day before Thanksgiving through Doordash. We picked the items that we wanted, then during check out it said they weren't delivering. Okay. Ordered again, this time just for pick up, paid for it and even was told that they were making the food. Got there at the estimated time and the place was locked and the lights were off. Apparently were not the only ones that had this problem. Okay. So we tried again yesterday. We called this time to make sure they were open. Got there and the guy at the counter was confused about me ordering on line. He finally found the pre paid order and we got our food. FINALLY. Get home and the chicken was dry. Their noodle soup was like they just boiled some top ramen noodles out of a bag and slapped some spam on there...that was it for flavor. They barely give you any teriyaki sauce, it was only 1/3 full. I had 4 orders and he was only going to give me 4. I did ask for more and he did give more 4 more. So none the less, we were completely disappointed with this place. If I could give it no...

I called in my order today on my lunch break. I asked for the Teriyaki Chicken with rice and mac, and I specifically said “No cabbage.” The person on the phone then asked, “So just mac?” which confused me, but I clarified again that I wanted rice, mac, and chicken.

When I arrived, my order was only chicken and mac—no rice. Normally, I wouldn’t have been too bothered, but the older woman who helped me was quite rude and insisted that I had asked for only mac, which I hadn’t. It may have been a language barrier, but it didn’t come across that way. The cashier at the front also wasn’t very helpful in resolving the issue.

I usually enjoy this style of food and like the L&L Hawaiian Barbecue chain overall, but I would avoid coming back to this location. The service was disappointing, and the restaurant itself didn’t feel...

Just left this place and let me tell you….. 5 STARS! not sure if it’s family owned or not but they sure did make us feel like family. My girlfriend and I did a takeout order and when she was walking out she accidentally dropped it. The people inside saw this and IMMEDIATELY started making another one before they even came out to us. They came out to let us know they were making another one and made us feel so much better. The young girl in the front even came to clean it up right away. THIS is how you run a business. Hands down the best...
