I was very excited to take my 69 yr old mother for a burger dinner and having watched the burger restaurant during our drives, it finally was our day to go here. I was greeted and settled in well by the front receptionist around 740 pm. Once we got to our table, our server - a black male stopped by and said he would be back soon to take our orders. He came back and we asked him about drinks, he said he would bring us the drink menu since we only had the food menu. I told him that I was fine with tasting some beers if they had local brewed options and he could bring me any of his top 3 selling choices. He came back after 7-8 minutes with the drink list. Then it was about 10 mins later he took the options for the tasters and we placed the food order at the same time mentioning we were hungry and would place our food order. He readily took our orders. The tasters for the beer were sitting at the bar and I saw them from a distance but it had been 15-20 mins at this point from the time I had ordered the tasters I asked the other lady serving to bring us the tasters at which point our server realized he had forgotten them At this time it was about 840 PM and he finally came around to ask us what were our beer options, I quickly gave the two and he brought them back in 3-4 mins. I asked about our dinner which was ordered around 810 PM and still no sign. Finally the food arrived about 845 PM and we ate quickly He didnt even come around to ask us if we needed anything else I was waiting to pay the bill, he would not even look in our direction so I could call him or show a hand to get the check Finally a lady server saw me holding the credit card and said “let me get you your server” She instead handed me the bill and promptly ran the check payment She said your server was sorry!!
This was overall a poor experience although the burgers and beer was good, it wasn’t worth the 57$ and our time spent for 2 beers and 2 burgers.
I am an Asian woman working in tech industry who travels a bunch and eats out 3-4 times a week, this was by far the most inconvenient service received. I saw that this server was hugging and clapping his hands with other customers who seemed to be frequent visitors but not the same level of service for us.
Village burger and the Hopscotch brewery by far have much better service and...
Read moreThe only reason we went there was because I had had a bad experience twice in a row and they kept sending me gifts certificates for money off. I wanted to go and use my $40 and be done with the place.
It wasn’t a good start. The doorhandle was covered with brown schmutz. It was gross and sticky. Our food ordered to use all $40 of our two $20 off gift certificates sent to us by the company arrived and at least this time the burgers were not overcooked but undercooked. That I can deal with. My hamburger was more on the raw side than medium rare. Hopefully I won’t get sick.
We tried to order beer, but they were out of two of the draft beers on the menu.
We absolutely maximized our $40, but when the check came, we were told that you could only use one $20 certificate at a time. This is in spite of the fact that the certificate states “Single use only“. To anyone who doesn’t work there, that means you can’t use it more than once. It doesn’t mean anything like you can’t use more than one at a time. It was absolutely ridiculous that we could not use the two certificates on the same tab. We were told this was solely a decision at the discretion of the manager. Apparently, the manager chose not to be customer service oriented. Yet again.
So, we paid out of pocket for more than we had intended.
Lastly, I went to go wash my hands in the ladies' room and found after soaping up my hands that there was no water coming out of the faucet. How, I would like to know, was the staff washing their hands?
The food is average, but the place is gross. Thankfully, we have decided to never go back. Maybe someone can use this $20 off certificate that...
Read moreUpdate: This place has gone from bad to WORSE. It’s been a few years since we’ve been and decided to give it another try. Fries no longer come with burger, and if you want fries, it’s an up-charge. The server, Charisma, challenged me on this and said fries never came with your meal. After speaking with the manager he confirmed that fries once did come with your meal and that she was new. New management, came with bad changes.
Food is good, but the customer service at the bar is awful. The first time I went my friend and I sat at the bar to dine in. When our food came out it was all packed togo. The cook said the bartender ordered it togo despite us ordering it as dine-in. When they brought our food out the second time I was missing the bad daddy sauce for my burger. When I told the bartender/our server, she looked at my plate and said it was already on my plate, but it was a side of salad dressing for my salad. As she was closing the bar, she asked us if we’d be comfortable with her taking off her mask. Why even ask that during a pandemic? This shows their employees do not take Heath violations serious.
The second time I’ve ordered was through Doordash. One thing I ordered was a chunky Elvis milkshake. When it delivered, it was missing walnuts and bananas. When I called there to notify them, the bartender on the phone challenged me and said the milkshake does not come with banana chunks, only banana syrup, which was a lie. I ordered the milkshake before and it has banana chunks in it.
Their staff clearly needs to sharpens their customer service. I will...
