Pig-N-Chik BBQ — Restaurant in Chamblee

For some reason - my 1st post went away b4 I finished it. Anyway - I'm handicapped. My sister & brother-in-law visit me from time to time in the evening & always bring food from the Pig-N-Chick. I really like their Brunswick Stew.

A thought popped into my mind tonight (8/5/18). I wonder if they deliver? My computer was running an update which I couldn't stop - but I knew their phone # & when they closed (which was 10:00 PM EST). I saw it was 9:53 so I called.

The guy answers and I said "I wanted to ask u a question in regards to"......& b4 I could get out the word delivery.....he hangs up one me....we weren't cut off & the call wasn't dropped. U could tell he was irritated from the get go that somebody had the audacity to call 7 minutes b4 closing time.

As soon as he hung up on me I called back....it was 9:55 now...& right after he hung up on me....he switched to the mode where no human answers. U get the "we are closed for the evening & u can call back tomorrow when we open".

I would have preferred that the recorded message would have been on at 9:53. So he couldn't have abruptly cut me off. I guess the moral to my story is.................................................

I believe his quote applies even more to the 21st century.

And of course - this specific complaint can be seen as a very weak one. But I think this is becoming more & more true with especially the big corporations. Everybody knows that the corporations that are making Billions of dollars yearly treat customers who need help like this......

You call for customer service & u hear this "we are experiencing an unexpected # of people calling for help - the current wait time is 20 minutes - u can probably go to our website to get an answer to your problem".

Of course u have already been to their website & there was no answer to your question. And of course the robotic voice that was saying " "we are experiencing an unexpected # of people calling for help".......that is the same message every time u call.

And of course.....they could easily solve the problem by hiring more help which would be like a few drops in the ocean for their bottom line profit. But "OH MY GOD" th 1st quarter profit would drop from 4.2 billion to 4.19999 billion

I could go on & on....but this is already...

Went to 🐖 & 🐔 one day before work. Was impressed so I decided to give em a go on the weekend for dinner. -Standouts- Smoked chicken wings and the BBQ ribs. Absolute 🔥. I got the combo # 2 with BBQ chicken,pork and brisket. I couldn't distinguish what was what this time I think I had more brisket them chicken or pork. So after the meal I inquired. And they allowed me to sample the. Chicken and pork. The pork didn't stand out. But the chicken did. The brisket I didn't like . So I can only speak on that which I know I liked. Free refills on soft drinks. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant college motif. If you want some damn good wings and ribs stop by and see them. My wife is partial to only her mom's Mac and cheese but she said she enjoyed the Mac and cheese here. So you got a meal right there ribs wings and Mac an cheese. Trust me you'll be glad u...

Great service! They can be very busy during lunch as there are a lot of folks in that area that like to eat there (Chamblee police are almost always eating here). Before 11:45 and you're safe, after noon, not so much. Lines and wait are often possible just to get a table. As far as the food, I love the smoked salmon and smoked wings. Everything on the menu is awesome really, you can't go wrong. Would recommend for a super bowl party or any corporate meeting (we've catered them in before). Three barbecue sauces to choose from, including mustard, sweet, and vinegar based sauces. Collard greens, fried okra, and Brunswick stew are amazing. But seriously, try the smoked salmon (hot).
