Stayed at this hotel last year and the room they gave me was horrible. It was unfinished and the lights didn't work. Door wouldn't work. A maintenace man was in my room for 4 hours, didnt fix the problem, left the light fixture undone which is a safety hazard and quit the next day (he told me he was going to quit because he was treated so poorly by staff) so nobody ever came to fix it. Front desk staff was very inhospitable. Ive seen them be nice to others but never to me. I'm a very light skinned black woman and all of them are darker than me and I am convinced their attitudes toward me was because of Colorism. There were ongoing maintenance issues and noise issues. every time I came to address these issues I was met with dismissal and annoyance. Eventually I moved to another room and it was OK. I left the property and returned 7 months later. I was checked in and the room was dirty. The door stopped working. The shower wouldn't get hot because a previous maintenance man had wired it wrong. The maintenance man had to fix all these issues and when I came to express my frustration with this being the second time checking into the hotel with all these issues, I was told that there were never any problems with the room before (despite the fact that the maintenance man acknowledged that there was an issue with the shower, took pictures of the dirty room, and had to fix the door.) met with looks of annoyance and told that I could check out and they would refund my money or they could move me to another room, both options which didn't work for me because I don't have transportation to move my things or time to move rooms when I'm supposed to be working. I realized that the woman at the front desk didn't care so I asked for the name of the general manager to speak to the next day. Booked my room online, came down to verify, and was told by evil Tasha that the hotel wouldn't allow me to stay anymore because of me being on a DNR list from my previous stay and because "of the way that I was talking" to the unsympathetic front desk associate the previous day. When I explained that anyone would be upset when paying money to lay their head somewhere and theres constant issues with maintenance and nasty workers, i was told that i was never supposed to check in because of being on the DNR list. Which they never told me. Which is negligence. Which is illegal. When I asked to talk to the general manager, I was told she had been fired and that Tasha was now in charge. It's clearly retaliation and abuse of power. Reading these other reviews it's evident that the higher ups don't care about this property and the front desk staff knows it so they are really comfortable mistreating people. Even their own. They've gone through at least 3 general managers, security guards, and maintenance men in the past year. I'm suing this property for negligence and discrimination. Hope the power trips were worth these womens jobs because they'll never work in another hotel again after I'm...
Read moreI stayed in this hotel from December 3rd to the 31st on the 30th l was going to leave because the maintenance worker kept harassing me. He was so aggressive with trying to get in my room while l was only in a sheet or a robe. He would try to burst in my room to fix things in my room, l was rapped before so l was scared to allow him in my room. So much so that l just decided to leave before he really burst in my room to rap me so upon me choosing to leave. I told the front desk that he was harassing me and the reason l was going to leave was because l was scared. While outside waiting for a cab he told me he knows why l was scared of him and that he was going to rap me. He went in the laundry room the day l was leaving closed the door and after coming out he said now I'll always know were you will stay. He said he could read my mind and would bring my worst fear to reality. I went and told on him l stated that l was a empath and l can feel his energy and was scared he kept pushing energy out of his hand towards me. The manager is a mason he is fat dark skinned and wears glasses, so l thought if I told him he would understand all of what l was stating and why l was leaving. An because he said he was going to rap me l was scared he would do such a thing and that l could tell by his energy he was telling the truth. The next day he put me out stating that l was a witch and his employee was scared l was going to put a hex on him like you mean to tell me the maintenance man can try to burst in my room and can threaten me with rap and get away with it. He is dark skinned with a go t and a bald head just so you can know if you ever go here. I thought to myself being the guest l should be able to tell the manager l am scared their employees would rap me but l fount out l can't tell them anything l am scared the same employee that lied on me will do the same with the new guest. Which is strange that he told me he was going to rap me yet l was kicked out for being aa so called witch. I was so scared to write this review because the maintenance man said he was a wizard and would find me and kill me then rap me that's how my mother was murdered so l felt it was true. I talked to my counselor and she convinced me into writing a review l am still scared about writing this review right now. They made me feel as though their in the business of rapping guest by the way they kicked me out. To make it worse l think they poisoned my cat because l left him there and when l came back for him his cage was moved. Only a few days later my cat died that was another reason l didn't write a review l felt like he did it to...
Read moreMy experience at Studio 6 was laughable at best. The police have to constantly be called upon to resolve issues related to thievery. Upon entering there are no utensils and it will take the office at least a week to find any for you. I spent a week with no forks no spoons no knives and no plates. And if you place a complaint expect corporate management to side with their staff before even considering your complaint. As a matter of fact if you have the gall to place a complaint, although justified, expect to be thrown off the premises just for having the nerve to place a complaint. I suppose they would prefer to keep their drug addicts, homeless and thieves, which are also within the staff, specifically the repairman, which I've come to find out he robs his own cleaning service maids of their tips before they even get a chance to enter the room. Do not bother placing a complaint because it will go nowhere since management is not interested in resolving any of those issues. As a disabled veteran of the United States army, the night staff, specifically by the name of Keisha, will never treat you with any respect or kindness. I stayed there for a few days and a smile never cracked her face. Although the morning and day staff are quite cordial and helpful, it is the only thing that the Hotel has going for it. The key card system gets deactivated with just a dirty look and yet the night staff will treat you as if you were a nuisance if you ask to get it reactivated. Most of the equipment doesn't work, and the free Wi-Fi they claim to be free is actually already charged within the rate at $15 a week as a hidden charge. They will make you plenty of promises which they have no intention of keeping. The Suburban Extended Stay Hotel is a much better choice with a staff that's cordial and kind and if there's any amenities missing in your room they do everything within their power to immediately resolve any issue you may have. Apparently you have to first be a drug addict to receive any service from Studio 6. My door was repeatedly knocked upon to solicit cigarettes by most of the undesirable tenants that utilize the facility as an apartment building instead of what it was meant for, a Hotel. I constantly had to fear for my daughters well being everyday on our way to school where she attends Chamblee charter high school. I'd advise you avoid this hotel at all costs especially if you're a veteran since apparently you have to first be a derelict to receive any type of service. Again I repeat, Suburban extended stay which is just a few blocks away is a much better choice. There you'll get your...
