Updated (4/2025): Yay for the new location! Plenty of parking and plenty of tables and seating. Mix of booths and chairs. Dimly lit. They have high chairs! We had a party of 5 + a toddler on Sunday, 4/20/25, at 6 pm and were seated right away. You get free dessert if you’re celebrating a birthday!
We split 3 appetizers and we each got our own entree. Here’s what I had: Naan ($3): Warm and delicious! Garlic Naan ($5): Warm and tasty! Shingaarar Chaat ($9): We always get this appetizer. Deconstructed samosa. It hits the spot every time! 2 Piece Vegetable Shingaara ($5): Good, but I prefer the shingaarar chaat! But if you need another appetizer, this is a good option for sure! Ponir Tikka Moshol-La ($15): Our absolute favorite entree. Always our go-to. Shaak Methi Malai Motor ($13): Glad I tried it! It was good, but I still prefer the ponir tikka moshol-la! Rice Pudding (normally $4): I prefer the laal-mohon to this! Our waiter gave us this for free since we were celebrating a birthday! So generous! Laal-Mohon (normally $4): Super sweet! Like a pancake soaking in syrup. Our waiter gave us this for free since we were celebrating a birthday! So generous!
We love Ruchi! Good for dining in and for take-out!
Updated (2/2021): Ruchi has definitely been our go-to to-go restaurant since Corona began. It’s consistently good.
We’ve tried a few different things, but we keep coming back to the Ponir Tikka Moshol-la. We’ve found that the chicken is usually a bit dry for our liking, so we stick with ponir as the “protein” for all dishes.
Here’s our order: Naan ($3): Perfect for dipping into the tikka moshol-la Shingaarar Chaat ($7): Very filling appetizer; good portion; it’s like a deconstructed samosa; definitely has a little kick to it, but it’s more than tolerable 2 orders of Ponir Tikka Moshol-la, comes with rice ($14): It has a sweetness to it that I love; we get the medium spice level and it’s not really spicy; definitely made with a lot of butter, so consider yourself warned!
We could easily have Ruchi for ever meal, it’s that good. We cannot recommend Ruchi highly enough.

Original (2019): Ruchi was so great! We got the Shingaarar Chaat as an appetizer and it was amaaazing. It was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy. Entrees: Chicken Kashmiri (with bananas, pineapple, lychee, and almonds), Lamb Dopiazza (with caramelized onions). The chicken kashmiri tasted like a tropical drink. It was soo good—definitely very buttery, but so good. The staff was great too, very willing to help and gave us great recommendations!!...

This week we decided to go Indian, Bangladeshi cuisine to be exact.
We ate @ruchirestaurantatlanta in the Chamblee area and what a great meal it was!!
As always the ratings are from 1 ❤️ to the greatest at 5❤️. Here is what we had:
Lamb Keema Naan ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Who knew anywhere stuffed Naan with lamb. Now we know, and there us no turning back!!
Tandoori Rooti ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Soft top, toasted and crumbly bottom... excellent!!
Naan ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Shingaarar Chaat ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ This was amazing!! Almost egg roll style fried Naan covered in spices, garbanzo beans, yogurt, tamarind sauce. It was a little of everything; sweet, spicy, Creamy, flavorful!!
Mixed Tandoori Platter ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Tandoori made with shrimp, lamb, chicken and chicken kabaab. It came to the table sizzling as you can see in the video!!
Chicken Tikka Mashola-la ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Amazing as everything else.
The service was great. We could smell the spices and meat cooking from outside, which let us know we were in the right place. We will definitely be back!!

Read moreTucked away and brimming with authenticity, this Bangladeshi eatery is a delightful discovery—thanks to a thoughtful recommendation my lady spotted in an online group when she asked about Bangladesh places to visit. From the moment we stepped inside the spacious, inviting dining room, we were warmly welcomed by Ahsin, whose gracious demeanor and spot-on suggestions set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
His recommendation of the goat curry—a personal favorite of mine—was nothing short of phenomenal. Tender, richly spiced, and deeply satisfying, it showcased the kitchen’s mastery of traditional Bangladeshi flavors. In fact, the variety on offer exceeded all expectations; every dish we tried was piping hot and bursting with complexity. Honestly, you’d be hard-pressed to go wrong with anything on the menu.
Equally noteworthy was the attentive, cheerful service provided by Treak and Abir. Their enthusiasm and genuine hospitality elevated the entire experience. Engaging, observant, and always smiling, they struck the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth, making us feel like welcomed guests rather than just patrons.
Incredible food, heartfelt service, and a welcoming atmosphere—what more could one ask for? This place is a win-win, and we’re already looking forward to...
