Exploring Atlanta's Antique Alley: A Treasure Trove of Vintage Finds 🗿🧳📺🕰🏺🪑

Three of us went at 8:15 on a Saturday night. There were a few parties in front of us, but the line moved fairly quickly. As we ate our ice cream, the line grew, so we definitely went at the right time. We got a scoop of banana pudding ice cream in a waffle cone, a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough in a bowl, and half cookie dough and half cookies and cream in a waffle cone. It came out to a little more than $12, before tip, which isn’t too bad. The banana pudding was amazing, with actual vanilla wafers in it. The cookie dough and cookies and cream were really good too. Half and half scoop is the way to go because you get more ice cream out of it. They have plenty of parking. They also have 2 trash cans. There’s not much space to eat, so we just stood around a tree planter while we ate. A few problematic things: - In COVID times, he lady ringing us up was wearing a mask, but it wasn’t covering her nose. - One of the guys scooping our ice cream wasn’t wearing a mask at all. - Unrelated to COVID, one of their sundaes is called “Orient Express,” used to describe their sundae with green tea. “Orient” is politically incorrect and I really wish they wouldn’t use this term, especially considering solely white people are working there. Overall, though, I would recommend. Please fix the mask situation though.

Yesterday was my 2nd visit to Frosty Caboose. I’d searched the internet high and low previously looking for an ice cream shop that made banana splits but also served wet walnuts (most places do not). I was looking for a traditional banana split. The first time I visited, I wasn't super impressed with how my split was made. There was so much ice cream, it was made rather sloppy, the toppings were added sparingly. I felt a hint of disappointed to learn they didn't use real fruit, only fruit sauce. A young teenage boy made it which is why it was the made the way it was. But yesterday 5/6/24, a young spanish girl made it. I requested small scoops of ice cream to mitigate messiness and to create more room for the toppings. She made it so perfectly. Even in spite of not having real strawberries and pineapples, it was delicious enough for me to go back. I was even able to finish it all. Thank you young spanish queen 💜 PS. I’d be willing to pay a higher price for real fruit and dark chocolate sprinkle shavings. Then my banana split will be perfect :)

It’s a really neat place to take the kids but it was such an off putting experience with the worker. I asked for a small cup for my toddler. Her friend went before us and got a super tiny cup which was perfect because my little one never eats more than two bites anyways. I went to order it and they asked my toddler (who was off playing) to come get measured? I didn’t even care about it being free I just wanted a small serving similar to the serving her friend had gotten. They didn’t tell me if I was being charged or not until they had handed me the ice creams. No mention of the free cup or if my toddler was eligible. My little one just recently turned three so I think it should go by age instead of height anyways. But it was just so off putting and weird. I ended up having to pay for the biggest scoop of ice cream for a 3 year old only to toss it out after it was barley touched. It was massive for a child that age. It was just kinda odd the entire thing. Also- my toddler is definitely 36 inches or below so not sure how the measuring even works. Just a weird...
