Owner needs to learn to take a loss. I was given a bill, I paid it along with a generous tip over 30% of my bill. After the meal and after I long left the building they realized they charged me incorrectly undercharged me.

Luckily, for them, one of the members in my party forgot an item and had to come back about an hour later. They said they would need the rest of the bill paid, even though they are the ones who screwed up, to be paid upon retrieval of the item.

I paid what they wanted but I will not be back. Prior my partner and I were discussing when we wanted to return already. The owner lost repeat business from customers who tip their workers generously over what had to be less than 10 dollars in food costs to them. Had no one forgot an item they would have eaten the loss regardless.

IN AN EDIT TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE: I did not look at the bill nor did I ask how much each persons meal was when they ordered, that would be tacky and rude. I had my card in hand and ready to pay so I simply just handed the bill back with my card. Why in any world would the customer be responsible for the amount they’re billed? That is the establishments job, if the server is not doing it correctly how do you expect a customer too? I paid what YOU charged me and left a very generous tip in the process. To hold a little girls birthday card until payment because your business messed up...

They food here is ALWAYS great.

Why three stars - Extremely bad experience with waitress today.

I ate there today with my family for lunch. I ordered lasagna. When our waitress brought the meals she said she had two manicottis. The plates she had had lots of sauce covering the pasta and they looked similar.

My mom had ordered a manicotti. I reminded the waitress I had ordered the lasagna. The waitress told me ‘No you didn’t. You ordered manicotti.’ I told her again that I ordered lasagna. She then told me a second time that I didn’t order lasagna, that I ordered manicotti. My mom told her she heard me say lasagna. The waitress was still insisting I didn’t.

I finally told her I’m not arguing anymore with her about it and said I would eat the manicotti. She came back a few minutes later and said the kitchen said one of the plates she brought was lasagna. She had given me the manicotti and my mom the lasagna. So she grabbed my mom’s plate and my plate and switched them.

She did not apologize for continuing to argue with me or telling me repeatedly I didn’t order lasagna when she literally had written it down and the kitchen had already made it.

I’m only writing this because if I owned a restaurant I would want to know how my staff interacted with my customers. Food was...

I've lived here for seven years and deeply regretting that I haven't been here until tonight. This is going to be our pizza/go to place for dinner out. The vibe/atmosphere was very relaxing and pleasant, great for a date or chill feeling after a hectic schedule. The staff were very friendly and the service was phenomenal. The food was absolutely amazing. The pizza was, in my opinion, the best in the area, and I've eaten at pretty much every other pizza place around. We got a half hamburger pepperoni, and half pineapple Canadian bacon (because my partner is a heathen and doesn't mind committing the worst pizza sin). Admittedly, I did try a piece of that pineapple and Canadian bacon and I actually liked it, which is a first. There hasn't been a single other place I've ever liked that from. The marinara they use for the toasted ravioli is extremely good, speaking of, meat toasted ravioli is hard to come by here. Having grown up in St Louis area, that's a staple for any Italian place and theirs is pretty good. Not the best, but definitely not the worst. I am extremely happy that we finally gave this...

I had a great first experience at this cozy Italian spot tonight! My partner and I started with an order of cheese sticks as an appetizer—crispy and perfectly cheesy. For the main course, we ordered both the lasagna and the tortellini with meat, and they did not disappoint. Each entrée came with garlic bread and the choice of soup or salad, which was a nice touch. The portions were very generous—definitely come hungry! The atmosphere gave classic mom-and-pop vibes, super welcoming and homey. It felt like a place that’s been loved by the community for years. Prices were really reasonable for the amount and quality of food you get. This place absolutely deserves to be considered a Champaign staple. I’ll definitely be back!
