They are very rude to paying customers about having to go containers from a different establishment on the same strip.. I had gotten lunch at valley Luna or whatever it’s called and my two babies were restless so I walked along the path stumbling upon coffee rush.. I wanted to try a drink so I had my husband come back with me when he finished eating and we walked back over.. him and my mother in law kept pushing the kids in the stroller but had set down their two to go cups and my sons to go container and I had a metal water bottle they had left on the table as well.. my husband said the lady made eye contact with him as he set it down.. but she didn’t say anything and he assumed it was fine since we were paying customers and he was just setting it there while walking our kids around on the path.. I came back out with my coffee which was a large iced black and white mocha.. and I didn’t see my husband, mil or kids so I sat down and waited and just tried to enjoy my few minutes to myself with my coffee (which wasn’t great btw) without my kids.. next thing I know a barista comes up to me and tells me I can’t sit at the table with the outside food or drinks.. and was like sorry you just can’t I’m sorry we can’t have them so sorry and I’m like looking at her like girl how would I be able to carry all this and she just kept being like I’m sorry.. it’s not like I was eating at the table or like not a paying customer it’s like I literally enjoyed a meal somewhere else on the same strip.. walked by them wanted to try them and while waiting for me inside (the other barista had me sign up for a card which I was excited about before I tried coffee and experienced rude service) but so my husband set their stuff down while waiting for me to come back with my coffee because he was walking back and forth with the kids.. but this lady really like expected me to get up and carry 3 cups and a metal water bottle and a to go box and my phone.. they just aren’t kid friendly at all.. it’s not like we were trying to stay and eat or even drink my coffee leisurely I was just waiting for them to return so they could help me carry the stuff back but I didn’t know what to do after she told me I needed to get off the patio with my food and I felt so uncomfortable so I started calling and texting my husband and mil like a crazy person and I just moved tables and left their stuff on the table until they finally made it back with the kids because obviously she didn’t have a problem when no one was at the table she could have thrown it away but after I spent practically $10 (I left a $1 tip when he made my coffee) she wants to confront me.. idk it made me so uncomfortable and really ruined my experience so I will never be back and honestly wish I would have just gotten a refund because the coffee wasn’t good I just put it in the fridge and figured maybe tomorrow I could doctor it up.. but yeah idk it just was very uncomfortable and I was literally just waiting for my husband to return because I couldn’t carry all our stuff myself like we weren’t planning on staying there I had just asked him to go back that way so I could try their coffee.. I felt it was really a bad way to treat a first time customer but really any customer.. but I’m not sure if their regulars are used to this and it’s just like a known thing.. I can understand how it could be a problem if people want to just sit down and eat at their patio without making a purchase but it seems like they are a little to crazy with their rules.. at least in my opinion and honestly if she would have just told my husband he couldn’t do that before I paid then I would have just left without buying coffee but it was oddly convenient for her to wait until I had already paid to then...

During my recent visit to Coffee Rush, I was impressed by the delicious coffee and friendly service. However, I was disappointed by the lack of cleanliness inside the café. A smashed moth on the window seal appeared to have been there for days, and the ceiling and fans looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. I urge the staff to take more pride in their work and ensure the café is kept clean and dust-free. Until improvements are made, I recommend avoiding sitting inside.
Great Coffee, Friendly Service, but Room for Improvement
I recently visited Coffee Rush and had a mixed experience that I feel compelled to share. Let's start with the positives - the service was excellent, with a friendly staff that made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. I ordered a cappuccino, and I must say, it was on point - strong and nicely flavored just the way I like it.
The seating area outside was a nice touch, allowing me to enjoy my coffee in the fresh air. The ambiance was complemented by the soothing sounds of 70s soft rock music playing in the background, creating a pleasant atmosphere.
However, my experience was marred by an unpleasant incident involving off-duty management, Nate. While I understand his concern about smoking, his approach to addressing the issue with customers was wrong and off-putting. It's important for management to handle such situations with tact and diplomacy to ensure a positive experience for all patrons.
Additionally, I couldn't help but notice that the place could use an update in terms of its look and ambiance. A fresh, modern look could enhance the overall experience for customers and attract more visitors.
In conclusion, Coffee Rush offers great coffee and friendly service, but there are areas where improvements could be made. With some refinements in management approach and a makeover to the space, this cafe has the potential to become a top-notch destination for coffee lovers.
Additionally: Service Concerns and Smoking Area
As a non-smoker and a customer at Coffee Rush, I found my recent experience to be a little unpleasant by some concerns regarding the service and smoking policies at the establishment.
During my visit, I witnessed off-duty management interacting with customers in a manner that I personally found concerning. Additionally, the approach to managing customers who were smoking outside the premises left much to be desired. While ashtrays were provided, the lack of clear table markings and designated smoking areas created confusion and discomfort.
As a non-smoker, I believe that it is important for businesses to consider the preferences and health of all their patrons. Arizona's smoking policy mandates a distance of 20 feet from doors, windows, and ventilation systems for smoking areas. It is crucial to clarify whether enclosed windows are still considered part of this requirement.
To avoid potential conflicts and ensure compliance with regulations, I recommend that Coffee Rush designate a clearly marked smoking area that is sufficiently far away from the entrance, windows, and building structure. Implementing clear signage and guidelines can help create a more comfortable and inclusive environment for all customers.
In conclusion, while I appreciate the offerings at Coffee Rush, my concerns about the service and smoking policies during my visit have prompted me to provide this feedback. I hope that the management considers these suggestions to enhance the overall experience for...
Read moreIt’s been 9 days and I still get upset over the experience, so I feel the need to share. I often walk around the lake with my dog and one hot day we stopped to rest at Coffee Rush before walking home. I didn't have a car this day nor did I have a credit card on me. Lets continue. We sat down for no more than 5 minutes when a staff member came out and told me I had to order something to stay. Fair enough, except I didn’t have my card on me. I tried ordering through the “Mobile Ordering” from my phone, using a virtual card number, but the screen kept going blank. I even connected my laptop to my hotspot, tried different browsers and same issue. After several attempts, I called the number listed on their site a few times, no answer.
Before I could resolve anything, the same worker came back and told me that the manager said I’d have to leave if I'm not ordering anything. I explained the situation, even showed her both screens and said I was actively trying to order and if the manager has a problem with me here, he can come out and talk to me himself. When he came out, instead of hearing my side of the story and try and help, he was already irritated and walked over in a way that he was going to kick me out, which immediately pissed me off because he's coming out here as if I'm the problem. I explained the issue and tried to show him the blank screen on my laptop and even showed him my phone, in which I was on the banking app trying to connect my Apple Pay. I also said that I tried to call them a few times and he told me the phone number listed actually belongs to the owner and isn’t monitored. So begs the question, why have it there if no one is going to answer?
I told him I didn’t have my card but was trying to use my virtual card or Apple Pay, which wasn’t set up yet on my new phone. I said this clearly but he still told me to come inside to order. I was shocked, did he not hear anything I just said?
Eventually, I got Apple Pay set up and ordered. Later, he came out and said there was updates made to the site and forgot to fix the URL which is why it was showing a white blank screen, so it wasn’t just me. Still, I felt blamed, embarrassed and publicly humiliated for something completely out of my control.
Now, every time I pass that place, I cringe. I was treated poorly for simply trying to buy a tea. I'm all about customer service and working with people to resolve issues and I can't say the same for Coffee Rush workers. I won’t...
