Maskadores Taco Shop #13 — Restaurant in Chandler

The staff seemed annoyed with us from the moment we started ordering. We had a couple of questions about our order. The time to get our food was not very long. It might be because no one else was there. We got our 4 orders in about 15 minutes. My wife bit into her taquitos (rolled tacos) and was surprised when it was filled with potatoes. We have ordered this dish at many mexican places and have never had it filled with potatoes. They had placed the meat on top of the taquito. It did not taste good. They did offer to replace it but we didn't want to wait. I ordered a taco salad which was not impressive. One of my kids ordered a chimichanga which he liked but I thought was too greasy. My other kid ordered some enchiladas which were not rolled. They put cheese in a corn tortilla, folded it in half, and then grilled it and put sauce on top of it. Out of the 4 dishes were ordered and ate, this was the only one that tasted good. I will not go back based on the service and lack of flavor. I would guess that everyone rated the tacos as my rating for the food and...

We're new to the area and we wanted tacos. Maskadores is close to the house, so we give it a try. So glad we're did because it's a great taco shop in Chandler. Has a Chipotle feel, but with a mom and pop shop vibe.

I went with my family on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too busy. My wife ordered the street tacos and I ordered the Enchiladas. I think the portions are a little small, but that is reflected in the prices. It's not the most flavorful I've ever had, but definitely not the worst (I'm looking at you Torero's) The food has some kick, so order spice with a little caution. I asked about a kids menu, but I don' think they have one. I ordered a quesadilla for my daughter, but it looked like an adult serving size. Price didn't seem any cheaper for the kids menu either. The item I really enjoyed was the Horchata. It was delicious, refreshing, and not grainy. I would go back just for the Horchata.

All in all, we'll be back again. We'll still try other places, since we're still getting to know the area, but for a quick fix, Maskadores...

Food was good but customer service was obnoxious. The young woman with droopy eyes and long brown hair with blond tips needs to find a job where she doesn’t have to deal with customers. I asked for barbacoa then changed my mind immediately to carne asada. She rolled her eyes and let out a big sigh. I asked for no rice on taco salad and she put it on anyway.She put my food in a to go container even though my friend and i were eating in. My friends food was served on a plate. They were out of diet soda. I called this to her attention. She told me to pick something else. I explained I couldn’t drink anything with sugar. She told me to get water. I asked for artificial sweetener and she said they didn’t have any. I had already paid for a soda with my food.
