In the bustling world of fast-food service, professionalism and courtesy are the cornerstones of a positive customer experience. However, in every workplace, there may be exceptions to this norm, and in the case of Whataburger, one such exception was a rude employee named Jabron.
Jabron's demeanor was far from welcoming; instead, he exuded an air of indifference and impatience towards customers. His interactions were marked by curt responses, eye rolls, and an overall lack of regard for the customer's satisfaction. Whether it was taking orders at the counter or serving at the drive-thru window, Jabron seemed to approach each task with disdain, making customers feel unwelcome and undervalued.
One particular incident stands out as a testament to Jabron's disregard for professionalism. A customer, eager to grab a quick bite to eat, approached the counter with a friendly greeting. Instead of reciprocating the courtesy, Jabron merely grunted in acknowledgment, his eyes glued to his phone screen. The customer, taken aback by the lack of response, attempted to engage Jabron in conversation, only to be met with a dismissive wave of the hand.
As the customer placed their order, Jabron's impatience became increasingly apparent. He sighed audibly, tapped his foot impatiently, and made no effort to hide his annoyance. When the customer asked for a modification to their meal, Jabron rolled his eyes and muttered under his breath, making the customer feel like an inconvenience rather than a valued patron.
Unfortunately, Jabron's discourteous behavior extended beyond his interactions with customers. He was equally disrespectful towards his coworkers, often speaking to them in a condescending tone and shirking his responsibilities whenever possible. His negative attitude created a toxic work environment, dampening the morale of his colleagues and tarnishing the reputation of the establishment as a whole.
In any customer service role, the importance of professionalism cannot be overstated. Employees like Jabron not only damage the reputation of the company but also contribute to a culture of disrespect and dissatisfaction. Every interaction with a customer is an opportunity to make a positive impression and foster loyalty, and employees who fail to recognize this undermine the efforts of their hardworking colleagues.
In conclusion, the tale of Jabron serves as a cautionary reminder of the consequences of rudeness and unprofessionalism in the workplace. His demeanor not only alienated customers but also created a toxic environment for his coworkers. Employers must prioritize the cultivation of a positive and respectful workplace culture, holding employees accountable for their behavior and ensuring that every customer interaction reflects the values of the company. Only then can businesses thrive and truly fulfill their mission of providing exceptional service to all who walk through...
Read moreAs a kid I remember when Whataburger came out, and they were great. We used to have them as a tradition on Christmas eve for many years. Today I decided to give them another try, as it's been several years, and the last few times hadn't been great. I had a coupon for a free double Chili Cheeseburger with the purchase of a medium fries and drink. I ordered mine with jalapenos, for an extra 70 cents. The bill after the coupon was $7.38. I remember not that long back that was the regular price of the full meal, including the burger. They took off $9.39 for the burger, so without the coupon this would have been over $17 for a single meal.
There were about 3 people ahead of me waiting for food as I sat down. The wait was just about 10 minutes for the food, but the burger they gave me didn't have any jalapenos on it, so add another couple of minutes to get them to notice me standing at the counter with food in my hands, and to actually give me a cup full of jalapenos. Once I got everything assembled I was looking forward to a decent burger, but I can't say that's what I got. Even with likely double the jalapenos of a normal order, and the chili on it it was bland. I could sorta taste the chili, which wasn't good at all, but the most flavor came from the cheese slices. The meat had nothing to add but texture, and with two patties it filling, but that's the best thing I can say about this burger.
Now for the fries. I ate about 6 or 7 long fries out of the pictured SOCALLED medium fries. When they served them the container was on its side, had stuff flowing out like it appeared full, but the container was never opened up at the base so it was like a small envelope, instead of a medium sized container. The staff is either to lazy to open the container properly, or more likely they're told to fill them this way to reduce serving sizes.
Maybe I'll try them again in another few years, if they're...
Read moreThe new Whataburger in Chandler is in a fairly busy location right next to Salad-n-go and Dutch Bros.
I used to love late night Whataburger trips and was excited to try this again after several years. I went through the drive thru this week around 11a. There were two lanes. I went into the left lane and was met by an employee taking orders before you got up to the menu board. I didn't have a chance to look at the menu and had to look it up on my phone in order to place my order. Unfortunately, while chewing gum very loudly, she proceeded to place her order-taking device on my car door where the window was rolled down and leaned close and in my personal space. No masks are warm and as a result this made me feel uncomfortable. She took payment there
After I placed my order, I was able to proceed up the lane to collect my order. I was able to finally see the menu board and know what I'd like to try next time. While waiting O could see that the right lane doesn't come up to a window. Instead an employee comes to your window and hands you your order. They cross over the left lane to get to you and constantly go back forth.
According to the sign in the drive thru window, they offer delivery and curbside pickup. A banner in the parking area says this location is open 24 hrs. I haven't been back that way during that time to verify.
The window staff were polite and quick. There was a slight wait but I got through relatively quickly. The quality is not a great as I remembered. The bun was very buttery and the patty was on the bland side. I'll try during breakfast or dinner time to see...
