Playa Bowls — Restaurant in Chandler

So, I want to love this place I really do. Its close to my house and so it makes it so convenient. But there are some issues. One, the parking lot is awful. If you enjoy being almost rammed into at least once each visit, this is definitely the place for you. Two, the service is miserable. Not one employee is friendly or helpful. My first time there, I mentioned it was my first time and the girl didnt crack a smile, ask me if I had any questions, offered any sort of suggestions or anything. The second time I went, I walked up, the girl looked at me said "oh" and then turned her back. When I went to grab my order I asked for it to go and she handed me a lid and pushed a spoon at me. I asked for a bag and got an eye roll. The base is delicious. The fruit leaves a little to be desired. The mango and kiwi were both not ripe. The mango was so hard I couldn't even bite through it. This place was awesome. I had a vegan coconut base. It was so creamy and delicious. We had four different types of bowls. Each of them with a different bace and different toppings. Every one of them was stellar. The fruit was so beautifully presented and shiny. The granola was large And generously placed. The honey was so yummy. No crystallized part at all. The peanut butter drizzle was creamy and delicious. The size is very big. You may need a lid to take it home. The coconut flakes are more like shavings. We ordered four different bowls. I added banana. With tax Was $52. So don’t go there thinking it’s cheap. But it’s definitely delicious and nutritious. t’s all very fresh. It’s kind of like having an ice cream for dinner. Update: gave them a second chance and I’ve encountered nice employees the next time around. Me and my friend came for some drinks and I asked the woman behind the counter what was “playa pitaya” she said it was dragon fruit, great. Man walks in a few minutes later and asked the same question I did she asked if he wanted a sample ? Why didn’t she ask me was it because I wasn’t white??
