The Strandwich — Restaurant in Channel Islands Beach

I can't believe i've waited this long to stop by for a bite but am happy to say the wife and I were truly amazed. We ordered the Roasted Turkey #10 sandwich with a side of Fried Brussel Sprouts. First, the sandwich. Superb balance of flavors, nice chunks of turkey roasted to perfection, plenty of tomato and mixed greens with a beautiful aioli to finish it off. We horfed this baby down so quickly I cound't tell you what type of bread used. Nicely toasted. We split it cause these are pretty big. Won't make that mistake again. The Brussel Sprouts. Generally not a fan. If not done correctly, they can be quite bitter. Fortunately, we both bit into these and eyes rolled back into our heads. AMAZING! With the aioli again to balance out the flavors, absolutely stunning. It's not often that I get this excited about a place to eat but the owners have truly honed their craft. Can't wait to work on the rest of the menu....

HOLY BATMAN!! This place is such a hidden gem. Been twice when visiting Ventura from LA. No frills order at the counter establishment with a couple picnic tables out front and seating in the small indoors as well. We eat outside because the restaurant is on a very quiet street - it's laidback and nice to relax outside. Their breakfast burritos and tacos (pork, brisket and lobster) are all great. Brisket is amazing and flavorful. Employees are very nice. Haven't even gotten farther into their menu than that because I've ordered that both times because it was so good the first time. Hello, I just want to take this moment to thank the amazing staff at the strandwich. I was making a delivery here and from the moment I walked in, the entire staff was so helpful. One of the staff members came out to help me unload, I believe it was the owner who offered me a sandwich. I got the bacon, egg and cheese and let me tell you this is the BEST breakfast sandwich I have ever had. You can taste all of the flavors in this sandwich. It was delicious.
