The Strand Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Channel Islands Beach

We visited the Strand Bar & Grill last Sunday evening for dinner. It may not look like much from the outside. But when we walked in, the restaurant is open, spacious and inviting. The server was very kind and responsive. For an appetizer, we had the rib tips. It was a very large portion of absolutely delicious, tender rib meat. I will definitely get this again. It is a meal in itself. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for the main course. I am picky when it comes to meatballs. It seems many places put too much of something in the meatballs. Not here! The meatballs were probably the best meatballs I have ever had. Finally, if you really want an amazing experience, leave room for the bread pudding. The staff is amazing and friendly. After the second time I went I felt like Norm from cheers. I left an expensive pair of sunglasses one night and thought they were gone, but when I went back, they had them for me and the bartender from the night before , was working as a waitress that day noticed me and came over and made sure I got them back. The food is amazing. I’ve had tri-tip and ribs that fell off the bone like they were slow cooked. Both were great even the sides were 10/10. Something simple as baked beans tasted so good. Monday and Tuesday nights are the best for me. They offer a limited menu, all items less than $10. I usually get the hamburger, but my friend got the chicken sandwich and loved it.
