This place used to be great before the owner changed. After the ownership changed, the food is getting saltier and the service is getting worse.
One thing I do really want to point out is that the owner and the Mexican waiter doesn't seem to care in the world about how they serve the customers.
An incident when my little girl wanted an iced barley tea, which they served hot , and asked for tea over ice, and they all refused to serve it to us.
The barley tea is given to you once you sit down and all they had to do is put ice on top of that, but they say they don't have it.
Service is horrible. Food is salty since ownership has changed. Not sure why I'm giving myself any reason to return to this place.
With all the bad service, I decided not to give any tip and the owner had the courtesy to run after me and ask why I did not leave a tip.
Please understand, "DEAR OWNER" that the tip is based on the service that I received. It is not mandatory or is BY LAW that I have to give every time I eat out in a restaurant.
These people think tip is something that we have to be responsible for as a customer..!! I don't think soooooooo!!!!
BAD SERVICE NO!! TIP !! My hard earned MONEY and will do what ever I want !
She lost a customer today over a cup of barley tea.. and bad, salty, MSG overload food.
Do not recommend this place at all..!!!

Read moreWe wanted to try a new Korean restaurant from the usually loud, k-pop blaring place in Chantilly. We wanted a more quite family dinner place. Ko Hyang tucked in the dark side street of Chantilly was bustling when we stepped in. That is always a good sign. An if you wanted authentic Korean where the waitress barely spoke a word of English this is the spot.
The service we got was a bit slow as our banchan didn’t even come out until we asked for it. They ran out of the pancake at 6pm on a Sat night? The food came out at a rather turtle pace so if you are in a hurry this isn’t the spot. The food felt like home cooking in your Korean aunts kitchen. All our dishes eventually made its way to the table as by that time we are pretty hungry. I love the burnt rice at the bottom of the galbi or Kalbi dolsot. No two Korean restaurant can seem to spell the same dish the same way. As for the spicy rice cake know as DdukBokGi or Tteokbokki but whatever it is called it was good. Still firm and the sauce slight spicier than I’ve had in other places before. The Naji Bokum was also really good but slight way too much onions.
We were happy with all the dishes and to find a new Korean restaurant without trekking to Annandale. I’ll have to come back to try some of the other more popular items like the steam pig trotters and the sausage which also was a very...
Read moreI recently decided to try a popular Korean dish, Soondae, at this restaurant, and I regret my decision. From the moment we walked in, it was a disorienting experience. The owner, who appeared to be the only one working, greeted us and proceeded to awkwardly direct us to a four-person table despite us having a party of five. We were asked to wait while she yelled at the staff to clean up, in a very unprofessional and unpleasant manner. The workers, who were non-Korean, were treated poorly, and it was uncomfortable to witness. The atmosphere felt off right from the start.
Once seated, we waited about 15 minutes before the owner finally came to take our order. It was clear that the restaurant was understaffed and she couldn’t manage all the tables effectively.
Now, let's talk about the food. We ordered Soondae Bokkeum, stir-fried soondae, expecting something fresh and authentic. Instead, it was clear they were using the same frozen soondae you can buy at H Mart. Not only was this disappointing in terms of authenticity, but for $30, the portion was small and overpriced. Honestly, I could have made the dish at home for a fraction of the price, and the taste didn’t stand out in any way.
Overall, the poor service, uncomfortable atmosphere, and overpriced, underwhelming food made for a disappointing experience. I won’t be...
