I went here with a friend from work and we had a lovely time. We had a private tasting with Dave since only we had booked for the 2:00 chocolate and wine tasting at the time. He was very kind and also answered all our questions with both humor and clear knowledge of the product and company. I got the booking through our employee rewards program and it was a great way to spend an afternoon.

The chocolate pairings were well chosen and it was as great to learn of their partnership with a few other local shops in the area like Weird Bros and Elden Tea Street Tea house in Herndon and Reston. One of my favorite parts of our tour was seeing how the chocolate is made with and also learning about their founder’s work sourcing and shipping their beans. We also learned more about the company’s mascot and adopted sloth, Caoco, who crossed their founder’s path and became a beloved part of the brand.

Would highly recommend the experience for those who like and unique experiences and supporting small local establishments. Likewise, for those that don’t drink, they also have...

I recently took my work team to River-Sea Chocolates for a tour and tasting, and it was an outstanding experience! The event, hosted by Dave, served as a fantastic team-building opportunity, offering everyone a much-needed break from the desk to enjoy something unique and memorable.

From the moment we arrived, Dave's warm welcome and extensive knowledge of the chocolate-making process set the tone for an exceptional experience. The seating area was inviting, and the tasting itself was truly remarkable. Each bite of their craft chocolate was a testament to their dedication to quality and craftsmanship.

The tour of the factory was equally impressive. Dave walked us through the careful and meticulous process of crafting their chocolate, giving us a deeper appreciation for the artistry involved. It was a perfect blend of education and indulgence.

I highly recommend River-Sea Chocolates for anyone looking for a fun and engaging team-building activity or simply a personal outing. A big shout-out to Dave for making this an unforgettable experience! We'll...

Firstly you have to go and visit the place itself - when you come through the door you are already greeted with the smell of chocolate. Through windows you can actually observe the entire chocolate making process - all handcrafted - a true work of art! Then you enter the shop and see the variety of beautifully packed chocolates - each wrapping by the way itself is a piece of art! You can tell that chocolates here are made with love! The owners are extremely nice, and their story what led them to making chocolates that are sustainable all along the value chain is inspiring! I brought home a variety and have to say, I couldn't get enough of the smooth, full bodied flavor of chocolate; while definitely enjoying each single piece of it, I honestly have to say I finished the chocolates the very same evening, because they are simply said AMAZING. The texture was smooth, and the flavor in my mouth was rich and deep. I shall be...

Hidden in the office buildings of Chantilly - one of those small local businesses in the same area of Ono Brewery/Odd BBQ, Toimoi Bakery, and Simply Desserts. This chocolate factory is a cute, intimiate shop and cafe that specializes in their chocolate and hot chocolate, both are award winning! We booked a reservation for their Wine & Chocolates tasting experience with our friends, $49/person. If you're not a drinker, you get a free chocolate bar of your choice! Basically you get to try 5 of their specialty chocolates with 3 different wines (red, white, and dessert). Someone explained where their cacao beans come from and how the chocolates are processed, and we got to see the action too, which was pretty cool! Definitely recommend the experience, just a fun time and excuse to drink and chat with our friends LOL Minus the experience, you can also just come visit, buy some chocolates and/or hot chocolate, and grab seat :)

We booked a tour and let me tell you that my son and husband (who are not easily impressible) were impressed. The tour is short enough not to be boring but long enough to be very informative. You do get to touch raw and baked cacao beans. The hot chocolate is out of this world good. My son ordered the turmeric one and it's a game changer. My daughter had the rose petals one and it is so fragrant and tasty! It's easy to overspend just because everything is so inviting, but their chocolate is worth every penny!! I would write more but don't want to give out too many spoilers. Go check them out! They have CBD chocolate 😁 and MANY vegan options. I do plan on going back for the tasting/whine paring experience and I plan to offer the chocolate bar making experience as a gift to my close friends. I might even consider their monthly subscription for the chocolate tasting kits. So yeah, I really liked it there.
