the food here is pretty good which makes me very disappointed to be posting this review. i have never felt more disrespected at an establishment than i did here today. i placed an online order at 12:24 from the link posted below their website on google, the first thing that came up when i looked up the restaurant. i arrived about 20 minutes later, and when i walked in nobody even came to the front for about 5 minutes. the server seemed surprised that there was an online order placed so he went to the back to check on it. about another 5 minutes i was waiting. he came back and told me they just started working on it so it would be another 5-10 minutes, so i went to wait in my car. i came back and again waited before anyone even came up to the front, while employees were bringing others their food and ignored me standing there. when my food was finally brought out i asked for some kind of discount on the food, considering at that point i had ordered almost an hour before that. AGAIN i had to wait while the man went to the back and then someone else came out. i told him i had placed an online order to which he tried to pull up their website on his own phone and show me their phone number, trying to tell me that i have to call them to place an order. i used the link that came up immediately on google, and the order was there the whole time. if this is not a viable option for ordering DONT LET PEOPLE PLACE ORDERS ON IT!!! i asked again if there was anything they could do, but made it clear there was no pressure and no worries if not. i was laughed at, while the employee opened the cash drawer and repeatedly told me he would give me $2 in a refund (while laughing). all i wanted was some kind of compensation for the extreme delay and time i had to wait. i left feeling extremely disrespected, upset, and angry. Oh and when i got home one of the containers had not been closed properly and had...
Read moreOh my goodness, this place was so delicious! I've lived nearby for 7 years and always heard amazing things, so shame on me for not trying it sooner.
It's in a strip mall area, so it's very unassuming. The decorations are simple, and the chairs could probably use an upgrade (a bit lumpy and squeaky), but wow, the food!
I have only tried Indian food once, so I was nervous about this. My friend is Indian and helped pick out everything. I was not disappointed, but I wish I could remember the names of everything we ate.
They bring out these paper thin, melt-on-your-tongue tasty cracker-like things. There were some spices, I have no idea what, and a dip that had a bit of a kick. I cannot handle anything beyond mild, and it was fine. Then we had an appetizer that reminded me of a Chinese dumpling but it was deep fried. And oh my gosh, I wanted more.
For my entree, I had a chicken dish with onions and carrots (and it came out crackling hot, so much so everyone turned and looked to see what I had ordered), and my friend had some type of curry meatballs. Both were mild (not spicy) and so delish. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the flavor was unlike anything I've ever had. We also had some naan, which was a perfect addition to the meal. We ended with these sweet dessert balls that I can't even explain. Everything was delicious. And the portions were huge so I had a full meal of leftovers.
There were a few other parties eating at the same time yet I only saw one server. He was quiet and friendly and did a great job tending to everyone. I had all these questions, and he was...

I can’t say enough good things about Rasa Indian and Japanese! This cozy, family-run spot has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat. The restaurant is managed by a wonderful Nepalese family, and from the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like an old friend. Mahindra, who runs the front of house, is always so friendly and makes sure every guest feels at home.
Now, let’s talk about the food—because it’s absolutely incredible. The menu is a unique mix of Indian and Japanese cuisine, and they nail both. The naan selection is out of this world, with so many varieties to choose from. Soft, warm, and full of flavor, it’s the perfect side to their rich, aromatic curries. But the real star for me? The Nepali Momos. These dumplings are hands down some of the best I’ve ever had—juicy, flavorful, and served with a dipping sauce that’s just the right balance of spice and tang.
Everything I’ve tried here has been fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Whether you’re craving a comforting Indian dish or something lighter from the Japanese side of the menu, you really can’t go wrong.
Rasa Indian and Japanese is more than just a restaurant—it’s a place that feels like home, with food that keeps you coming back. If you haven’t been yet, you’re seriously...
