I never really write reviews but I just had too. I’m also in the food industry, I can say I never experienced anything like it. First off me and my gf were there a lil after 11am walked in took a seat the server brought menus and we waited a while before she decided to come over. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma and fries my gf order a chicken kabob. Food came out. I was please how hot the food was but the taste was very unsatisfying my Shawarma chicken was very dry and taste like perfume which I was really surprised at. I took one bite. I enjoyed the fries my gf chicken was dry and the rice very mushy. I told the waitress I wasn’t enjoying the shawarma and my gf asked for sauce to help the dry chicken she had. So I ordered Hummus instead of the Shawarma, the hummus looked like oatmeal and didn’t taste good at all. So we were very over the food. Asked for the check and i asked why hadn’t the Shawarma been taking off? The manager said I have to pay for it she can’t use it. I replied I took one bite and she said it wasn’t her problem and there’s no way I would get it taking off my bill. I would NEVER go there again and wouldn’t recommend it anyone. Never heard of a customer not being satisfied and still having to pay for the item, and management...
Read moreIf I could choose my last meal, the chicken souvlaki would be it. I haven't tried much else because I have dreams at night about the souvlaki. I come every chance I get. The food is always consistent and the service can't be beat. These are some of the nicest folks in town. If you try something you don't like, don't give up until you've tasted the souvlaki!
Update: Nov. 2021 (4 years later) I am still eating at pita grill at least 1-2x per week! The food has been consistently good all these years. I am a little disappointed to see other people’s negative reviews about them not answering the phone and then arriving to find them closed. This restaurant is family run, and every family deserves a vacation once in a while. Those reviews were posted during the time they were on their annual vacation. There were signs clearly stating this on the door/window. I understand being disappointed when you get there, but think writing a bad review about it is totally...
Read moreMy better half and I had dinner at Pita Grill for the first time tonight. She had a felafel wrap and I had the gyro platter. We split an order of hummus & pita.
Everything was excellent: fresh, flavorful, filling and friendly service.
The gyro meat was among the best I've had. It was tender, but held together well. It was juicy, but not sloppy. The felafel wrap was huge and, from what I'm told, very delicious.
Pita was served hot and soft. Hummus was obviously made with care.
I never thought anything could fill the shoes left by J & J's Deli, which was in the location previously. I was a customer there for about 15 years and was sad to see it go. Pita Grill is a worthy successor, and I'm excited for my next visit.
UPDATE: Have been back several times since my first visit and everything has continued to be top notch. They have added shawarma to the menu, and...
