Cozy biscuit shop that was highly recommended on various listicles and by different friends. Came here as a group on a Saturday around 10am and there was a line of people outside waiting to receive their orders as well as well as a line to order at the counter. Sometimes the line can get as long as out the door and around the block, even late at night since it’s open until 2am, but this time around we waited for about 15 min to order and about 20 min to receive the biscuits. The lady comes out calling your name to hand you your order in little boxes. We took ours and walked to the farmers market which was a 5 min walk away and ate it in the park. I got the 3 mini biscuits for $5 and it was so delicious. The owner who also rang us up (I recognized her from the cookbook that was on sale in the store!) was also a sweetheart and was super pleasant. The biscuits were buttery and flakey and so filling. I had the chive one, blackberry, and cinnamon. All were good but I especially liked the blackberry one. It had the right amount of jam in the middle that tasted very fresh and flavorful. We also shared the pumpkin spice biscuits which came in two and were seasonal. There was some light icing on the top and were also equally soft and warm. They reminded me of cinnamon rolls in terms of the softness of the dough. They do take credit card and there was no WiFi. There’s a water station available where you can have some complimentary water and there’s also other beverages for sale. There’s also biscuit sandwiches for heartier appetites and you can customize by adding things like pimento cheese or bacon. Overall this is a cute shop with tasty, fresh biscuits that are clearly made with a lot of love (and butter!).

Wow! That is all I can say. Wow! I love the place! For a first timer, try the trio for $6. (Cinnamon is my favorite) Or better yet, get a grits bowl and pile it on! After being served last Tuesday, I walked out to King street, happily swinging my Callie Biscuit sack, taking up the whole side walk.. suddenly I sensed a fellow was trying to pass. Before even taking a look, I apologized- for my wide berth- and in true Southern tradition, started telling a random stranger about my good fortune to have stumbled upon Callie’s. Of course, as I moved to the side to let him pass, I had to ask if he knew first hand how good they were? When the fellow said yes, I was satisfied…and really happy I did not need to share one of my own to make him a believer. As he laughed at my enthusiasm and slipped by, I recognized the gentleman as Steve Zahn. Yep. Isn’t that cool? Still, not quite as exciting as chowing down on those savory little 2 inch squares of heaven. Thank you , King Street Callie’s for giving me perfect service and incredible little biscuits!

I'm always blown away at whomever designed this space. Only in New Orleans have I seen so much awesomeness cramed into a hallway. We get thier biscuits from the grocery store all the time to make biscuits and gravy at home. They are indeed the most expensive but they're also the best so it is what it is. I tried the biscuits and gravy here before though and ended up with a hard biscuit but when made at home they were the best. The sausage egg and pimento cheese sandwhich is the way to go. Everyone on staff was friendly and smiling despite the long continuous line. 2 things to note that I've seen in other reviews. Yes, there is a line and you will have to wait. If you are opposed to waiting and going to write a bad review because of it just go somewhere else no one is forcing you to stay in line. 2 this place is maybe 8 feet wide and has no seating so if you're looking to sit down and eat breakfast this isn't the place for you. However Marion park is a block away so just walk over and enjoy a quick bite in the park on a nice day.
