We took the Charleston Craft Beer Boat tour, and Fatty's was showcased. Tap Room Manager Pri, Brewer Harbour and Brewer Randolph were fantastic hosts (go on the tour, no matter the brewer). We went from the boat tour right to the brewery and made the right call!! I am not an IPA fan, but the Lazy Hazy is very smooth. The hops are added at the end of the brewing process, making the beer less bitter. The Musket Mule (Saison) is also refreshing, and hubs enjoyed the Serapo Mexican Lager. We munched on the Bar Snack Mix and Pickled Vegetables, and both are spot on! If you are in Charleston, this is a must stop. The staff will sit and chat and answer any questions. We'll make this a regular stop...

My friends and I ordered flights to try some different local brews which we go to numerous breweries throughout Charleston to do so. The only one we came to all enjoy was the Sea Dog very flavor full. The others were not terrible we just had trouble tasting the flavors with most as they seem to taste watered down at the time. I recommend trying Fatty's Beer Works. Sometimes first impressions need a second impression. I am unlike my friends they will never go back...

It took about ten minutes for the bartender to even acknowledge us, and we were sitting right at the bar. It's a small place, and there were not many people there, so it shouldn't happen. After paying for two beers, I realized that I was short changed by $2. While this is not a lot of money, when I asked the bartender about it, he didn't apologize, but said he didn't have change and just rounds up! What the heck...who does that!!! He then put another $1 on my pile of ones that he had set on...
