I donât know why thereâs so many 5 star reviews for this place. Maybe I went on an off day. I was there on a Sunday for a quick brunch with my sister in law. Parking was non existent and we walked 2 blocks to get to it. We ordered and the girl at the register was the least personable human being Iâve ever met. It was like she was annoyed we dared to even attend that morning. Nobody inside of the restaurant when ordering was even the tiniest bit friendly. I didnât see a single smiling face on the staff or other customers. This place has the most pretentious attitude Iâve ever seen in a coffee shop. Charleston doesnât need pretentious places like this. After over 30 minutes, my poor sister in laws bowl still hadnât made it out to her, and when I went in to ask about it, I stood at the register next to the line where the servers were coming and going, and it was like I was see through. After at least 5 minutes and 6+ customers being helped in line, where I tried to politely get their attention when not immediately speaking to someone else, I finally said HELLO?!?! And the same rude register girl was like âthey brought it out to you didnât they?â To where I said no and she had such an annoyed air when she said âweâll bring it right outâ. Someone else brought it to us and said something about the receipt malfunctioning or something. Whatever. We were sitting right at the door to come outside. We tried to get anyoneâs attention for those 30 minutes and again, invisible. I get it that technology malfunctions. But if even one of the staff was polite/friendly/gave a single care in the world that someone may have slipped through the cracks/maybe someone sitting with nothing in front of them for 30 minutes, it would have been a different situation. It wasnât my idea to attend huriyali that morning but it will certainly be my idea to never go back. We donât need pretentious overpriced flavorless coffee shops like this...
Read moreCame here on a cold Saturday morning with the family. The building is as vibrant and eye-catching as the downtown location. The outdoor heaters made us comfortable in the cold. We ordered many things from the menu, both to eat in the restaurant and the rest to take home for lunch. Service was fast and efficient.
We ordered the following: The breakfast sandwich x 2- Both me and my daughter ordered this. I got it with an extra fried egg on the sandwich. The chipotle aioli is amazing. It was delicious and is now my new favorite sandwich at Huriyali OG acai bowl and Dragonfruit bowl - Can never go wrong with bowls at a Huriyali location with their fresh toppings Dragon berry Smoothie - Our favorite smoothie here Farrah's Green Grits - Wife really enjoyed this Turkey Panini - This is my goto lunch sandwich at Huriyali. It is always reliably delicious 2 Lattes and 1 London Sea Latte - Perfectly brewed and served, my daughter enjoyed the london sea latte
Huriyali (both locations) remains our goto stop for both breakfast and lunch whenever we...
Read moreReally cute little spot for breakfast or lunch, or to just grab a drink, with seating on a lush covered patio.
It's on the pricey side, but nothing wild for a health-conscious local shop.
I'd recommend the mermaid bowl ($13)--it's a bit sweeter than the OG acai. Bowls come in plastic to-go containers with lids.
Aside from their counter-service menu offerings, they sell a nice little selection of sparkling waters, local beer, kombucha, and a few wines in a refrigerated case near the door. I've also seen local eggs.
There's ~5 parking spots (+1 handicap) in the back, though you can also park on the street. No bike rack as of this review--I was advised to lock it to the railing of the ramp...
