Ordered a pizza carry out Weds 7/13 picked up at 5:40pm. While I’m in line to pickup there were 3 employees right up front where they work the dough, it wasn’t super busy so they were just talking, one young guy, dark hair, glasses, was leaning on the counter on his hand, but his hand wasn’t on the counter it was in the bin of shredded cheese on the counter, no glove or anything just leaning in the cheese like it was the counter. At one point he took his hand out wiped his face and nose and out his hand back in the cheese and continued leaning. Then his hand must have gotten tired so he literally rested on his elbow which was in the cheese just like his hand. All this was right there at the front counter so it raises a lot of questions about what goes on outside of the customers view. I added time, date and description because I saw they had cameras and assume they have one at the register which he was standing right next to so I’m sure the owners can view this incident for themselves. I paid $38 and tipped $10 for a total of $48 for pizza I threw away when I got home because I wasn’t going to eat it after what I saw. I tipped $10 because there were a lot of employees working and doing a good job, I didn’t want to penalize them for one employees actions. I don’t believe I’ll be returning to this place. Plenty of other...

I love this place. The sausage is fantastic (mixed in house I believe) However, there is something with central Illinois pizza joints that I don't get. If you want a pizza with some substance 1) don't use canned mushrooms and everything else fresh. Keep it all fresh. 2) stop dicing peppers and onions. Slice them. You get better chance consistency and a better taste cause they catch some of char from the oven. 3) this is more of a personal request, please add fresh chopped garlic as a topping (note: fresh not jarred) I swear, if you love garlic and have never tried it, having it fresh and cooked on a pizza will change your life. You can't speak to anyone for a few days but it's soooo good. This is probably the best pizza joint between Charleston and Mattoon. Believe me I'm a fat guy with a whole family from Chicago...we...

Very cozy and nostalgic. I tried their specialty pizza on my first time, and I was blown away. It reminds me of the dough used at Frank Pepe in New Haven, CT. It is very addicting to say the most. Even though the restaurant was busy, the server was very accommodating and took time explaining the menu. She pointed out what is popular and what is recommended. She even took out the pizza pans to demonstrate the sizes. I was very impressed by the level of excellent customer service. I came back the second time and tried out their spaghetti dish. It did not disappoint. The noodle and the tomato sauce was on point. I purchased the half gallon size of spaghetti, and still thoroughly enjoyed it four days in a row. I can't think of anything that is negative. I feel like the prices are kept as precovid. I really enjoyed my...

The set up in this little place is super cute. You can watch them make pizza as you dine. If you go at Night prepare to eat in a very dim dining room. I had to use my flash light to see the menu. The staff was very nice. The atmosphere was busy but not chaotic. Our food came out relatively fast considering the amount of pizza those men were shoveling in and out of those ovens! Wow! We ordered a peporin, pagliai's special and cheese sticks. It was all so good! The cheeeeese! The only issue I had with the pagliai special was the toppings kept sliding right off. Cheese and all. But.. tacos fall apart some times too so that's how I ate it. In a pizza crust taco! We will for sure be back if we ever head that way again! The pictures were hard to take in the dark. But you get the idea!

We ordered a pan pizza for pick up and when we got home and opened the pizza we discovered a cold thin crust pizza. I called and all they would offer me was their word that next time I come in they'll give me a credit. They refused to deliver the correct pizza (as it was pouring rain and we already drove there once so going back was not a viable customer service option) or refund my payment method. Nope they refused, I expressed I would not be back as this was my final frustration and the only one I have complained about. They offered no proper solution and stated that was just fine if I didn't come back. Sounds good, sounds like they do not care if they provide excellent customer service. Dominos provides far better exceptional customer service.

We were in town for a middle school basketball game and decided to try Pagliai's. It did not disappoint! Unlike the game... 😮‍💨 The atmosphere was great. However, the lighting was a bit dim for my taste but still an overall comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Our server did a fantastic job and took great care of us. And as we were waiting for our food, we could see the cooks in plain sight dishing out the pizzas and cutting them up for customers. Overall, it was a great experience, and if we find ourselves heading back down for a middle school basketball game, we will definitely stop again. This time, hopefully, it'll be after a win. 😉
