I am extremely disappointed in this place! I travel to Bangkok Thailand twice a year, and I know good Thai food! I also travel a lot throughout the United States and I visit all my favorite Thai places. The only good thing about this place is her presentation was nice but the amount of food are so skimpy for the money you pay....OVERPRICED!!! Furthermore she doesnāt have the Thai condiments like the fish sauce with sliced fresh Thai chilies, the Thai pepper powder and also the Thai chilies in Vinegar. They gave me chili oil which is not what you get at an Authentic Thai restaurant! I also requested my food to be Thai hot meaning the highest level of heat. There was no heat at all in my food and That made me more disgusted! Her food is somewhat authentic and you pay too much money for very small portions. I will never go back to this place again!!! I frequent another place called Thai East fusion on international Boulevard and Thai Palm right by the Tanger mall. I am assuming that her loyal regular customers are people who have never traveled to Thailand and people who donāt know what really good authentic Thai food is! So, please take my advice and go somewhere else besides this place. I really am VERY disappointed and rather disgusted after having eaten there. ADDTIONAL INFORMATION: I forgot to mention that there is a really good Authentic Thai restaurant called BASILS downtown on King Street. Now their food is Absolutely Undoubtedly AUTHENTIC! I promise! They are on the expensive side but you will most definitely get Absolutely True and Authentic Thai Food and they have all the proper and traditional Thai condiments...including āNĢįŗ£plÄ thį»y kįŗ”b phrikthį»yā which is the authentic Fish sauce with fresh sliced Thai...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreRead the update below my previous review of Ti Ney Bangkok:
Absolutely the best Thai food in all of the low country! I have tried around 20 so take my word for it!
Update: So I guess the names changed, yet the reviews stayed the same as Ti Ney Bangkok, and Iām ashamed that google is allowing this, because there is a major difference between the two, especially in pricing and quantity.
I ordered Pad kee Moa and my wife ordered the lunch version of the pineapple fried rice.
Letās start with my order. It was like 16.75 for a small size of the order, however thatās for chicken, and I always get beef, but thatās an extra up charge of 3.00 making a small order of food cost 20.00. Was it good? Yes, but nothing to write home about.
My wifeās lunch special cost 14.95 because of the 3 dollar up charge to the 11.95 meal. 3 dollar up charge for 3 pieces of shrimp that they didnāt remove the tail from and they only had 3 pieces of pineapple.. Moving on to portion size⦠it was smaller than my small hand. I mean⦠you know those Chinese take out boxes, thereās the small and the large and they usually put like rice into the small ones, well the size was smaller than that. Taste wise? She said there was absolutely no taste to the entire thing. She was devastated over 14.95 for 2 bites of food that didnāt taste like anything.
From reading other reviews, Iād figure that Thailicious would start upping their portion size or decreasing their cost.. Nope.. it is exactly what the reviews said. I miss Ti...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an early dinner so I was the only costumer at Thailicious in West Ashley at 5 pm and the lady inside greeted me and told me I can pick my seat anywhere. I started with appetizers, curry poppers. Curry poppers is Fried Thai dumplings stuffed with ground chicken and potatoes with yellow curry and served with Thai sweet and sour sauce. I really like this appetizer and if you come here you need to try the curry poppers! For my meal, I ordered the pad woo sen with tofu. Itās stir fried Crystal Noodles with Egg, Pineapples, and Vegetables. The first initial smell ( I assumed it was fish sauce and oysters sauce) was strong but once I take a first bite I didnāt even notice it. The noodle was pretty good and I really like the amount of veggies and tofu in it. Pretty good dish an the ingredients all fresh. I really like my dinner, they served it fast, and my attentiveness server. You should check out this Thai restaurant in West Ashley! I also noticed good amount of dash door and uber eats driver came to get the orders on the pick up table. So give this place a try, order online if you like and lets support local thai restaurant in the area. Iāll be back for...
