Underground Chuck’s — Restaurant in North Charleston

My family and I had an amazing time today at Underground Chucks. For a family of four all with big apatites the overall bill was very affordable ( which matters when the cost of everything seems to be going up). My absolute favorite item on the menu was the Grouper Sandwhich (perfectly seasoned) AND we paired it with sweet photo waffle fries as a side and it was soooo good. My kiddos were super exited about the popcorn and loved the Big Bar Pretzel severed w/ warm queso. My husband had a Chicken BLT, my oldest son the Smash Burger and our five year old the bonesless chicken wings with the shoe string fries. Our family shared chicken wings and cheese curds for an appetizer( All of which were GREAT!!!). The regular mac and cheese didnt make it to my list of must have again. But i am open to trying the buffalo mac and cheese that was suggested by one of the staff. The music was great. The customer service was hands down perfection at its finest. Recently I had the opportunity to eat at Underground Chuck's which replaced O'Charlie's restaurant on the corner of Magwood and Glen McConnell. It has been completely renovated and now is a sports bar with a new menu. My husband, son and I tried 4 different appetizers. A big, soft pretzel with dipping sauce, deep fried cheese curds with an aioli dipping sauce, BBQ wings and potato skins. All were excellent with wings being my favorite. For our entrees my husband had the steak and fries. The steak was tender and flavorful. Our son ordered the smash burger and said it was the best he's ever had. I had the chicken BLT and it was light, crispy and juicy. Honestly, there wasn't a single item we tried that we didn't like. And don't forget the desserts! We tried both of their Butter Cakes plus their warm chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and oh my, they were all wonderful! Underground Chuck's just became our new go-to restaurant. We ended up at underground Chuck’s as a last-minute decision. They just opened up a few days ago, and the place was packed. Everything from the food, the service, the energy was fantastic! They had a bit of a mishap in the kitchen and our food came out Late, but the server came over multiple times and checked on us to make sure we were doing good.
