I went to Bradshaw late night to grab a late dinner as most restaurants were closed. I ordered food with a non-alcoholic drink and finished my meal within 15 mins. Then I asked the waitress for my check, and I got my check quickly. As it was crowed with many people who were drinking, I left cash with the check and I stood up to leave. I saw my waitress take the check and cash before I left the door. When I walked toward my car in the parking lot, the bouncer/security guy suddenly shouted at me “HEY!”. I thought that he was calling someone-else, so I just ignored and kept walking to my car. He again shouted at me, so I pointed at myself and asked him back “Are you calling me?” And he said “YES! COME BACK HERE FOR A SECOND!”. I thought I left something behind? So I went back and asked the bouncer what was going on. And he asked me “did you pay?” And I said yes. Now he went “I didn’t see”, so I told him I left cash on the table and the waitress took it. Now he smiled and dismissed me. While I was driving back home, I felt something was weird. Why didn’t he check with the waitress first whether I paid or not before suspecting me? Isn’t that a common sense to check with the waitress first before holding a customer like that? To be fair, this happened pre-pandemic and I have no bad feeling against this place anymore. Something happened to me today that reminded me of this event, so I am writing this review. I am not sure if there was a drastic changes in staff, but I would like to emphasize that employers should educate staff to avoid the same incidences...
Read moreHere is the story of my experience. I visited Bradshaw Social House for the very first time. It was OK….nothing great! but no complaints about the service I received. But here is the real disgrace. I left a very expensive umbrella on a hook under the bar. I realized 2 days later I left it there. I called Bradshaw and asked if anyone had found it. I spoke with the nastiest, most unconcerned female. I did not get her name. I asked her if she would look under the bar and she refused to. She said “we move the chairs out every night and if it was there we would have found it” I asked if she would just take a look and she repeated the same thing. She was so nasty and so put out that I asked for a little help. I explained to her that I know I left it there, and she in a very nasty way said “well it’s not there now, we don’t have it”. I was really pissed at the way I was treated and went there and asked for a manager. I told him what happened, he made no apologies, but went over to the side and picked up my umbrella and handed it to me. Still no apologies, I explained to him how his employee treated me on the phone….he could care less, he said what’s done is done, I’ll talk to her. But he really had no concern for me as a patron. Organizations like this should be boycotted, and I will spread the word far and wide as to the incredible disdain the employees have for the people that spend money there. It is sad, there are probably some good people there, but the company has not instilled an ounce of appreciation for...
Read moreWent to Bradshaw Social House for the first time on Saturday afternoon 2/2/8/15 to have a late lunch and watch the UNC/Miami basketball game. From the moment we stepped in the front doors I was totally disappointed in the vibe in the place. There was a hostess stand with no hostess so the 3 of us in decided to seat ourselves in a booth. Once we had sat down it was a good 5-6 minutes before anyone of the wait staff approached the table. Its not like the place was jam packed as there were about 15 patrons in the place at the time.
The first server we saw was nice and apologized as she brought menus and utensils. She took our drink order all three of us ordered draft beer and a few minutes later the draft beer arrived and all three beers were not as cold as draft beer should have been. We then asked a server if they could turn the volume up on the tv so we could here the broadcast and she seemed like that was bothersome and kinda blew it off.
A few minutes later the server returned and asked what we would like to eat and I told her that we had decided to go elsewhere and she said ok and just turned around and came back with the check for the 3 beers we had ordered. We paid the check and got up and left and went down the way to Lure and had a fantastic experience there.
If you go there during the afternoon do not expect an attentive friendly wait staff. It was almost like we were bothering them by being there. Pretty sad. For a place that bills itself for being a place to watch sports I...
