SAFETY RISK and more…
I was in this store as I frequently am, just two days ago. After paying for my things at the very first checkout station I proceeded to walk past the other checkout areas and out the door. When I got to the last one and closer to the exit, this person, who is a target employee and occupying some sort of cart semi darts out in my direction while on this cart (or either she just pushed it in my direction), getting to close to me for comfort. So I said to her, “don’t hit me now”. She didn’t respond, nor did she say, “heads up, excuse me, just one minute sir or anything of the like when she initially darted out.
Not sure if she has/had a personal bias toward me, racial bias, feels she has/had something to prove or what her personal issue was, but that’s definitely not a business protocol gesture. Whatever her issue is, it’s definitely personal because I know for a fact Target does not teach that in their training/orientation program. It’s on none of the videos they have to watch, nor is it in the handbook or paperwork they require you to read and in some cases fill out. I temporarily worked at a Target just a couple years ago.
The same night and about ten minutes after it happened I walked back in the store and reported it to the manager. He said that he knew who I was talking about, apologized for it and said he would “talk to her”, whatever that might mean. However, I’m not even concerned with an apology and she needs to be put back in warehousing to work or given a temp or permanent leave. As much as you may want to justify and excuse her action, there is no justifiable reason for it. She knew exactly what she was doing. In her mind she waited for an opportune time to try and carry it out. If you ask her she would say, “I’m a grown adult” and again, Target doesn’t advocate such behavior. Therefore I have no capacity to accept “sorry”. It’s either do what’s right or people will do what’s wrong. There is no gray...
Read moreI’ve gone to this Targets guest service 3 times and each experience was horrible. Nobody seems happy to help and move so slowly. I brought items in that were delivered from my bridal registry that showed up broken. Brought them in to exchange and was told I can either just get store credit or find the items myself. The lady wasn’t interested in helping me re order them or find them. The second time I came in was for an online order pickup, ordered my items at 1:45pm and said they were all in stock and would be available for same day pick up. I showed up at 6:00pm and nobody seemed interested in helping. Once I finally got someone at the desk they told me the order wasn’t ready. They sent someone out to grab the items in the store. 15 minutes later that person walked up with one pair of shoes moving as slow as possible and said the items didn’t have the right sizes in stock, even though online they said they did. I told them I had to get going and asked them just go ahead and cancel the entire order since you don’t have what I need in store. They seemed confused, but said they would cancel. I asked that since my order was done with a gift card if the money would go back on the card, they said yes. It’s been a few days and I just received an email asking me to schedule a new form of delivery for all 3 items. Clearly my order was never cancelled. Called the store to talk to a manager, the lady answered and all she said was “ok”, nothing polite or saying “sure one moment please”. She said ok and put me on hold, then somehow connected my call with another customer who was on hold also holding for a manager. The guest service team in this target do not seem to be properly trained and have horrible customer service. I’ve never encountered a Target with such poor service before. I’ll never come back. I’d rather drive further to go to another one with...
Read morePOOR Customer service A friendly employee in bedding tried to sell me a comforter that was filthy dirty. When i brought it to her attention she said "a good wash will fix that". When i told her that I would not purchase the product she said "ok let me take it so I can damage it out"!!??? But you were trying to sell it me as is? REALLY?
NEXT, i walked over to electronics. A nice gentleman helped me find an aux cable but other items i needed were not in stock. He left the area and a woman working with a TECH tshirt was nearby. I asked if Target carried any noise cancelling headphones. Her was response was, "They are very expensive". That was not my question!!! I paused .. and said where are they? She pointed randomly, without moving and said "over there".
I am SUPER ANNOYED at this point but i continued to ask her where are the headphones. She finally walks over to the locked cases as continues to repeat, they are very expensive .... at least 2 more times.
I asked her to open the case so I could see them. Of course she was not eager to do so. She left to get keys from someone and when she finally unlocked the case she just pointed to the prices but never took any products out.
Everything was bluetooth and I needed a plugin headset for translation purposes because i am going to an event in Madrd Spain. I never had a chance to explain that to her because she was so focused on NOT helping me.
I've been in this area since 1999. Longer than this store has been here. I am appalled at the treatment and lack of customer service. I will make sure to shop at the...
