Buona Vita Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Charlotte

This place checks all the boxes for a local restaurant and bar. The food was great today. The pizza choices look interesting and will be a future consideration. I had the Chicken Parmesan and it came out hot, with enough sauce that I could use the toast to sop it up. The chicken was cooked well and was tasty. The wife had "Grown Up Mac and Cheese" which added chicken, bacon , blue cheese crumbles and an Alfredo sauce. It was tasty (had to road test her dish). I will say the barmaid was fantastic and definitely was able to carry the load. Besides the bar she was the only server taking orders. We definitely will be back to sample the pizzas. Nice place and good music. Not friendly at all lady at the bar counter table. Definitely not trained for customer service, come to find out no resolution was provided in regards to unsatisfactory turn out on food ordered. Solution was ...menu was slammed at me with pointing finger at the item description what it comes with. Had orderered same one while ago that was presented differently. Was looking forward ... My pizza. Received exyra crunchy burned bottom flat. Will say...should have had some sort of sauce and not the glaze covered like ice cream or sweet pie. Well...left hungry...with such a huge dissapointment! Customer does not have rights in this place, nor is wright. No customer is treated like they welcome...

This has got to be one of the worst restaurants I have ever eaten at. There is basically no service and I didn't realize it was basically a bar that serves Italian food. However, the food was just really bad. The chicken parmesan was so bland and the chicken was really tough. No spices, no salt and the sauce tasted like it was from a can or something. I have to say it was kind of a miserable experience. I am not sure how this place gets 4.5 stars but it seems to be a local dive bar with a large menu. Maybe the patrons give it reviews for the drinks. The food was cheap, but not worth the price and the alcohol...
