The rating really deserves 4.5 stars but I don't know how to give a 1/2 star. I honestly only have 1 semi-negative thing. We'll, get to that. First, parking and the wait. Lots of parking available. The lot is pretty big. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you join the wait list before going, it's really helpful and allows your wait to be very minimal (make sure to check in at the hostess booth when you get there). Second, service. We were greeted with kindness and served with a smile, laughter and a good vibe. The food came quick (they were pretty packed, but what do you expect on a Sunday at 11am, again, highly recommend joining the wait list ahead of time). The food, so good. We started out with the fried green tomatoes. They were scrumptious. They tasted kinda like a BLT with a remoulade (in all the best ways your taste buds can imagine). My husband had the Three Little Pigs omelet with grits and a biscuit. The biscuit came with a maple butter that was good. He wanted a side of pancakes and the waitress recommended he order the kids pancake that gave him bacon for less (again, great service). He enjoyed all of it. I ordered The Peacemaker. This included a combo of any 2 benedicts. The name is very fitting because I honestly couldn't decide which Benedict I wanted and my taste buds were fighting each other. I eventually ordered the Chicken St. Charles and the Bayou shrimp, both were delicious and I'd absolutely order them again. We also ordered the mimosa flight and a Hello Sunshine. The mimosa flight was fine. The watermelon pomegranate and the peach bellini were our favorite. The only negative of our whole experience was the Hello Sunshine "cocktail" which is said to be made of gin, grapefruit juice and a rosemary syrup. Mine tasted of only grapefruit juice. There was a sprig of rosemary but I didn't taste any rosemary syrup or gin for that matter. The cocktail came in a glass full of ice so you know that already means it's not gonna be great. The ice waters down any resemblance of a cocktail. The glass was a glass your water or sweet tea comes in, not a nice cocktail container. That's my only criticism. If I'm going to pay $11 for a cocktail (which is actually low) can I get a little sum sum in the drink? If I wanted grapefruit juice I would've just ordered grapefruit juice for half the price. Again, everything else was great. I'm still going to go back, but next time I'll...
Read moreI would stay away from this business - it appears that not only do they provide terrible food service, but seem to be engaging in some sort of fake positive review scheme to drown out the bad reviews.
My experience today consisted of a very long wait time for food (total time spent in restaurant was from 11:20am-1:30pm). The waitress came by only a handful of times - several of us didn't get any refills.
When the food did arrive, only half the party's food arrived, then 30 minutes later the other half, then 15 minutes after the last person's food arrived. It was an overwhelmingly long wait for the food and we all didn't get to eat together.
As far as the taste of the food, it wasn't anything special. The berries used in the pancakes were obviously the frozen kind, and the pancakes were just flat. The iced coffee as well was very "milky" - which, upon having them make a second one because all I tasted was chocolate milk, I saw they were using a pre-packaged coffee. For $5.60, it absolutely wasn't anywhere near worth that cost.
The only redeeming quality of this visit was the fried green tomatoes. Which...really don't make up for spending multiple hours for breakfast.
While management did knock off a significant amount off the bill, the long wait, uninspired and bland food along with these seemingly fake reviews compel me to suggest you skip this establishment.
More on the reviews: Look at all the positive reviews and who's posting them, they sound very similar and most reviewers only have a review or two under their belt. Most of them are also recent, within the last few days. Then look at all the bad reviews, they all are stating very similar issues.
While I hate to bring a small business down and try to find the positives for my reviews (fried green tomatoes), there's just not much here right now to make it worth visiting.
Food - 1/5, uninspired, not fresh ingredients, pre-made EXPENSIVE iced coffees Service - 1/5, waitress checked on us just a few times, but the manager seemed sincere in apologizing for our issues Atmosphere - 1/5, it's like someone wanted to open up a brunch spot, but had never been inside a restaurant, very bland with left over decorations from the restaurant that preceded it.

Read moreFirst of all, I've just had a knee replacement and am walking with a walker. I walked in with my daughter, and was told to pick a table clear across the restaurant after I was headed to the restroom (which was about 30 degrees) in the opposite direction. I guess the servers needs (sections) are more important than making your guests feel comfortable.
There were signs littering the road advertising $10 lunch specials. Need to work on the service before you reduce your prices to pack the place.
My daughter and I were never offered drinks!!!! We were just given waters. I ordered pancakes, egg and grits. They were not real eggs! How does a breakfast place not have real eggs?! The grits showed up luke warm with water lining the rim (instant grits?). I asked for butter then the server disappeared for a good 5-10 mins. Finally, he came back through and I asked for butter. 10 minutes later, I flagged another employee and asked for a different salad dress for my daughter. They don't carry ranch! She asked who our server was, she left and came back to say that she would tell our server because he had to ring it in. I said, so her chicken is already cold and we have to wait longer for him? He comes to the table and says, "(so & so) said that you were over here yelling". What the actual **! Some people shouldn't wait tables! He had an attitude and never once smiled or made us feel welcomed.
They have excellent pancakes!! I have been one other time to this restaurant and the pancakes brought me back. However, I will never step back inside there. It's terrible. Everyone around us had the same server and all had needs while he was gone. The entire service staff would just disappear for 5-10 mins at a time. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years and have empathy for servers who are overwhelmed. I do not have patience for stacking the tables in with a limited staff. We were not able to eat the food in front of us because no one bothered to check after our food was serviced. This is service 101! I consistently get better service at Chick-fil-A and McDonald's! Such a disappointment to leave our food there uneaten...
