Took my wife to Miro to celebrate our anniversary. We have dined at Miro a couple of times in the past at the prior location and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We made a 6:30 reservation for two. We dine early most nights, so this was our requested time. When we arrived, we were told the table was not ready, but the party was paying their bill now and it would be just a moment. Several other parties arrived and were seated immediately while we waited. When asked how much longer the wait would be, the hostess (manager) gave us an electronic pager. At least two parties of 3 were seated ahead of us and without reservations. After 30 minutes, we decided to leave. My wife told them that we had reservations and yet had been bypassed for other customers. The manager told my wife that those people requested a specific waiter and another party wanted a booth? WHHHAAAAAATTTTT? At least make something up! We made reservations for a reason. Usually when a restaurant or any other business can't get the easy customer relations stuff right, there are more systemic problems brewing as well. The restaurant market is highly competitive and I work too hard to spend my time and money at places that do not understand or care about simple customer service. The rating here is now down to a 90, which is not nearly as good as it may sound. I am not a foodie, but had looked forward to eating at Miro again. However, there are literally hundreds of nice restaurants within a 20 minute drive of my home. They, like the previous two restaurants that went under in that location, will go down unless they change. I hope that is not the case, which is why I am writing this review. If I really wanted them to fail, I would say nothing. We, however, will not be back. the manager offered my wife a free dinner at the end of their discussion. It was too little - too late. I had already left and pulled the car around. **. If you read the reviews, you will see that this is a problem and has been for some time. The hostess even says the same thing to other people with reservations. ...
Read moreWe loved this place until the last two visits... I’ll talk about tonight though. We just got home from our dining experience and it was terrible. All was ok until our waitress Maya spilled our drinks on us. We were literally bathed, my husband more so than myself. I guess she was shocked because I had to do most of the clean up. When she spilled the drink on us she was like a deer in headlights. She apologized but no sense of emergency was demonstrated. There was a “special” tonight the surf and turf. My son ordered it because he loves surf and turf, It was ok at best. Nothing to write home about. We finished our dinner very uncomfortable because we were wet from the spilled drink, therefore, we ordered our dessert to go and requested our check. When the check came was when we were shocked.... we were not only charged for the drink that was spilled on us but the “special” surf and turf was charged as follows, “surf and turf” was charged at $26.00 and then there was a charge for an extra lobster that was never ordered charged at an additional $15.00. When we questioned Maya she stated that this was how the meal was rung up, as separate charges. I’m telling you right now that plate did not merit $41.00. With the caliber of restaurant that is, at best they should have offered to take care of our dry cleaning and definitely not have charged for the drink she bathed us with. The manager or the owner himself should have come out to our table and spoken to us. We go there all the time and I’m telling you WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Ultimately the owner must know that with service like that his restaurant will...
Read moreWalked in on a Friday night with a booking for 3. Waited almost 45 minutes before they told us your table is ready because they overbook the place. The wife of the owner comes and tells us table for 3? I was like yes, she was like where is the 3rd person? I was like hes coming.I felt she wanted to keep us waiting for the 3rd person cause she didnt want to lose a table cause she overbooked the place .We sat there and ordered and the 3rd person came and he asked a question on the menu that we already asked before, the waiter said ask your friends, I already explained this.Really?!! We get the Paella and some other plate, and found hair in my food, but I didnt tell my wife cause I knew she would walk out and it will ruin all our night, even if they changed the dishes. The Paella wasnt good anyway, and I think honestly if you knew anything about paella, you wouldnt come to this place. Finally, we order the check and pay, and literally 5 minutes before we left. The wife of the owner, "the manager" comes and tell us, hey you guys want to move to the bar?I can order you something there, because I have a party of 16 who have been waiting for an hour.First of all shes lying, cause we ordered and ate and paid in almost 45 minutes, and there wasnt a party of 16 waiting.Secondly, for the first time in my life I see a manager asking a customer to get up from their table that they reserved and ask us to sit on the bar.In addition to that my wife is pregnant so it would be even harder for her.The owner of the place should teach his rude wife how to run a business and treat customers right.Worst place and customer...
