I stopped by this restaurant this evening to order takeout. When I walked in I was pleasantly surprised that there was only one couple in line in front of me. I just knew I would be in and out of there in no time. I was wrong! The couple in front of me ordered and then I ordered and paid for my takeout. The lady at the register was very pleasant and offered to me to have a seat in the takeout waiting area. 10 minutes went by and then 15. Still my order was not ready. When it got to the 20 minute mark I went back up to the register to speak with the lady I had ordered with. No one was there. There were lots of staff very few customers but no one I could wave down. I went around the corner and immediately asked to speak with the manager. The man with the dark hair and beard said “that’s me.” At this point I expressed to him that I was disappointed. He reply, “oh this is your order right here.” He then said meet me over on the other side. Why was my food in a completely different area? I went to the takeout register and the young lady brought my food out. Again I asked to speak with the manager as I was under the impression he was going to meet me there. I asked her to bring him out immediately. He came out and I explained my concern and issue again. The manager could have said anything at this point, or apologize. He said none of this. He repeated himself and said “well here is your food.” This whole time he looked down at the floor and would not look at me and did not say anything. I suggested to him that this should be fixed immediately. The other 6 people waiting for their take out we’re getting agitated that it was taking so long. I also noticed the couple that had been in front of me we’re already finishing up with their meal. How did this happen? I ordered 30 seconds after they did. this place has some...
Read moreI have gone to this restaurant twice in the past few weeks and I will not return after today.
When I went a few weeks ago they forgot an item which is fine and I understood. My wife and I called and I went back and they were able to replace the item. The only inconvenience in this situation is our time.
Today I placed a pickup order for 5:15 and after getting a text message that it was almost ready at 5:11 I thought it would be perfectly fine to arrive at 5:20, grab my food and leave. Once I walked in and checked the orders and noticed it was not there I gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to patiently wait to see if it would come out. Three more sets of orders came out and none of them had my name. I asked if they would be willing to check on my order and the person working said yes and walked away. I then look up and notice her having a discussion and laughing with her coworkers and never hear from her again. Next one of the people working at the register asked if anyone had checked my order which was baffling to me as the first person to ask me clearly was just talking with this person minutes ago. Then after checking on my order I was informed that my order must have been taken because my name was too common... What a great thing to hear. My order was taken by someone else because my name was too common. Great. But, finally, they inform me that they will make my order again. So my wait continues. 5:50 arrives and a new person who I have not interacted with finally arrives to call out my order thankfully I am able to leave although I have to call and change my plans for the evening as I have missed too much time.
I will not return to this location and I would not recommend it to others. Oh and even better there was a mistake with my order...
Read moreI would like to start by saying that this review is solely based on the greedy corporation of Viva chicken. The staff present performed wonderfully, tables were clean and ready for customers to sit comfortably. Staff checked on us frequently, and seemed to agree with my dissatisfaction with the corporation. Now the food… Not only did COVID cause prices to raise SIGNIFICANTLY, but the portion of food received is absolutely abhorrent. 1/4 a chicken is equivalent to one single chicken wing, which is $11. You would be better off purchasing a side of pulled chicken for $5, which is significantly more chicken than their 1/4 chicken portion. I was embarrassed to even be served such a small portion, when I could’ve went to Harris Teeter for $7 and received an entire chicken. The Inca wrap has decreased significantly in size, as they moved from a larger burrito shell to a measly 8 inch shell and have the nerve to charge $10 for what would be $3 at taco bell for the same sized tortilla. A fruit cup is 90% of a very bitter orange, 2 TINY pieces of pineapple, 5 TINY pieces of apple and completely unappetizing, it felt like I could walk into a hospital and receive a more fair portion of FRESH fruit. I tried Viva Chicken’s food for the first time about 7 years ago, and comparing what I spent and what portion I received then is so drastically different , it feels like the corporation is just taking advantage of the consumer. $60 for 3 people, and we still left HUNGRY! Completely dissatisfied, and do not recommend supporting this business. The portions are completely out of balance with the price. Shame on you...
