Let's start off properly and indicate that I don't speak Spanish. The language barrier between the staff and I was almost non-existent because We were able to communicate through a combination of smiling and pointing. That being said, the staff was pleasant and kind. Now let's talk about the food. It just takes one word: delicious! I got in with my friend before the lunch rush and got the chicken burrito, which I know would highly recommend. Eating in a grocery store has its own ambiance and can't really be compared to a restaurant or a grocery store. I can tell you that the place was inviting. It was clean. The staff was quick And Pleasant the entire way through. From my point of view, they absolutely earned the tip I left them. I will go back again and I'll wander through the menu because there's plenty there for me to...

This place has some of the best most authentic tacos in the Charlotte area. My wife and I have been going since we moved to Charlotte. We had been disappointed by most other places so far. There are other good Mexican restaurants in Charlotte but this one has been better consistently. We have had there asada, Al pastor, carnitas, chorizo, lengua, pollo, in tacos as well as their burritos and chiccarones. Not sure we have had better here.

My wife who grew up in El Paso says the atmosphere of this place reminders her so much of her childhood and the places she feels most at home. A truly authentic experience. We got some fresh chorizo to take home too!

If you are thinking about trying it, JUST DO IT! You will have an authentic experience at an...

Ely Tortilla Factory and Carnicería serves up some of the most authentic Hispanic food you’ll find anywhere. From the moment you walk in, the smell of fresh tortillas and food hits you, they’re made in-house daily and sold by the dozen, warm and soft straight off the press. The place stays busy with locals who know where to find real flavor. Don’t bother trying to order in English; this spot stays true to its roots, and that’s part of what makes it special. Everything on the menu is packed with rich, homemade taste, from the tacos and tamales to the meats straight from the butcher counter. If you want the real deal, Ely’s is it ..... pure authenticity and incredible...

Great spot for some authentic Mexican street style tacos. While they have some small tables setup for dining there your best bet is takeout. Super friendly staff you would do best to brush up on your Spanish though just in case (JK kinda). Great place for Taco Tuesday $1.50 tacos with as many or little toppings as you'd like. The portions are decent the flavor is pretty standard/good. I would suggest not going late as they do run out of some of their options. They have a mini Mart of sorts too so you can get some snacks, cheese etc. This place may not be spotless or bright, shiny and new but they've been around long enough to know what they're doing and do it well I might add.

I went on a Saturday morning at 8:30. Meat market with seating on one half and hot food and check out on the other. The process for eating is-order your food at hot table counter, get ticket, so sit down and waitress will bring your order, when finished go to counter with ticket and let them know you ate in the restaurant. Tortillas were good but I have to agree with other posts that the meat was dry and not well-seasoned. My carne asada tacos were $2.50 each- I didn’t think $5 for breakfast with these beef prices was pricey. I’ll be back to try other items.

This hidden gem is a must do in Charlotte. We came for taco Tuesday and were welcomed with the best service. You can choose the toppings of your taco ans can get as many as you want for $1.50 a piece. We also got the rice and beans on the side which is served in a soup cup. I think it was the best rice and beans I ever had in Charlotte! Go check out the local business. Can’t wait to try more of their menu items.
