If I could, I would have given Rick, the owner, a zero for his service, The way he treats his African American customers is downright disgraceful! He looks down on us as if WE are the foreigners. I've seen him speak to Black men and women in a nasty tone and kick them out of his establishment when he was the one who was being loud and rude; it wasn't the customer. I'm not sure if he's getting his perception of how to treat us from the media, but he's terrible! He doesn't deserve our Black dollars. He initially tried to speak to me in a disrespectful manner, but I called him out on it about his tone and customer service skills. He got better, and he was amicaI. I became a regular customer. However, I recently bought a dress that I needed for an event from him. He personally gave it to me and assured me that it was good. I went on my merry way, my mistake. I later tried it on, and it was missing two buttons. I called him to notify him of the situation. I thought the issue could be resolved without any problems, and it would be a simple exchange because the merchandise was defective. As I tried to explain the situation to him, he immediately went to 10! Mind you, he knows that I'm a regular customer who has spent a lot of money in his establishment. However, he was still rude, argumentative, and downright disrespectful. He refused to exchange the dress, and he was dismissive. I will admit that I was upset because I feel like we continue to allow people outside of our race to treat us as less than, yet we still give them our money. Well, that was my last time I will EVER give Fadhion Warehouse/Rick my hard earned cash and anyone else who doesn't treat African Americans as valued customers. You may not have had the same experience as I did, but I do ask that we ban together and stop patronizing establishments that don't value us and post a negative comment on their website to put...
Read moreI will never go back to this place again. I went in and picked out an out fit worth $53.61then went to pay. After I swiped my card the owner claimed I still owed $9. Puzzled at his statement, I checked my bank account to see I was charged $446.11.
A refund was issued but the owner had to wait until his daughter or niece arrived to issue the refund. Once I arrived home I began to think of the incident and came to a conclusion that the owner knew he was trying to rob me. The total with the $9.00 came to $455.11 instead of the $536.10 that it should have been if he punched the numbers in by accident if the total was to be in the hundreds.
The owners also for nervous and skittish after I pointed out what he did and even offered for me to walk around to the back of the counter and issue the refund myself as if I knew how to do so. Everything in me wanted to crash out, but the company has 3-5 business days for my money to hit me account before all hell...
Read moreI have bought hats here before, but never suits. Today wanted to buy a new suit for church and a new hat. Not knowing how the sizes of the different designer's run, one needs to try the clothes on. Tried on 2 suits which the fit was not right. Returned them to the rack. The guy( maybe owner) grabs off the rack ranting about putting them back and to just hang them on the end. He actually grabbed 3 off the rack, one of which I didn't try on. He was fussing because it wasn't hung on the hanger properly. I again told him I didn't try that suit on. Then he says store policy is you can only try on 2 suits PER DAY. So I told him I would spend my money somewhere else. What kind of policy is that? Why would a business want to lose sales due to limiting a customer the opportunity to find the correct fit? Needless to say he lost out on $100-150...
