Firehouse Subs Whitehall — Restaurant in Charlotte

The first time I ordered online for pickup my sandwich had rock-hard green tomatoes that were inedible. The second time was OK. The 3rd time I came to pick up my sub and it wasn't there. I asked the guy about it and he said he didn't have an online order for me. I told him I placed the order and received the receipt via email. He didn't believe me and a couple other employees chimed in basically saying they didn't believe me either. I was on a tight lunch schedule and didn't have time to wait around but I already paid over $10 for a large sub so I had to go out to my car and luckily had my phone in the car with access to my email account where I placed the order so I showed him my receipt. After he helped someone else first, they started on my sub. I didn't want deli mustard but one of the girls put mustard on it anyway. Another girl told her "no mustard" and to "just scrape it off." Luckily I overheard her and told her "no way, do it right." Bottom line, I was late coming back from lunch. No apologies, no complimentary food or drink for my trouble. I stopped by the Firehouse Subs on S Tryon today and had a great experience from start to finish. The staff was super friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked in. You can tell they care about customer service — they made sure my order was exactly right and prepared it quickly.

I ordered the sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! The ingredients were fresh, the bread was perfectly toasted, and everything was hot and flavorful. You can really taste the difference in quality compared to other sub places.
