La Michoacana Taqueria y Tortilleria — Restaurant in Charlotte

Incredibly terrible and disrespectful service so bad that we did not even get to order our food.

I came into this restaurant with my aunt, brother, and mother. We really only came here because it was one of the only places open in the morning and we were hungry after having had to drop off my cousin at the airport.

My mom saw that they had Gorditas for sale and attempted to order them but all she got was a stern and annoyed answer from the girl at the register saying “those won’t be ready for a while” . I don’t know about you guys but if I am in any sort of rush I don’t go to a sit down and eat restaurant to sit down and eat. I’d just go to a McDonald’s instead. Mom replied back to here with that’s fine we can wait it’s no problem and she’s met with an even more aggressive “theyre gonna take a while”

we aren’t the type to cause a scene whatsoever so we just glossed over it and attempted to order a pound of carne asada for everyone to try and share and we’re met with the exact same annoyed attitude. My mother asked her if she was upset with us for some reason attempting to see if we had for some reason unknowingly offended her. She aggressively told them no but they had just opened and nothing was ready.

We decided to leave and a much better and pleasant experience from another Mexican restaurant attached to a gas station called “las meras tortas.” You guys should check it out the ladies were really nice there.

if you’re going to open at 8 maybe try having some food ready at 8. We did not arrive till around 8:30 so maybe open a little later?

don’t take out your frustrations on customers because you guys aren’t properly prepared to serve people at the time YOU guys schedule to open

I have been searching for some delicious authentic tacos ever since I lost track of my favorite Mexican food truck. I saw a TikTok about this restaurant and knew that I had to go immediately! AND It was taco Tuesday- two-dollar tacos and they did not disappoint. I ordered Birria tacos, steak tacos, and chicken tacos. The portion size was great. The meat was seasoned to perfection and the tortilla was soft and delicious 10 out of 10 Highly recommend. The only concern that I had was the young girl at the cash register. I could be wrong, but it looked like she sort of did an eye roll as I was approaching. Her demeanor did not make me feel welcomed to be there. I could literally see her out of my peripheral getting frustrated while I fumbled trying to make a payment on the credit card machine. It was my first time there, so I was only trying to figure it out with no help from her. Normally, I would have walked out, but I had already paid for the orders, so I sat and waited but genuinely felt uncomfortable. This was around 3 PM so maybe she was tired for the day and overworked idk. I literally looked at her and asked politely are you OK? She replied yes. Went to La michoacana taqueria y tortillería for lunch. It’s Hispanic restaurant that has a music machine next to the register area where you can pay for the place to play whatever song you pick. My friend ordered 2 tacos 🌮, she personally didn’t like the meat that she got( possibly the meat was not fresh) she said it was dry. I ordered the plate combo that had rice and beans lettuce 🥬 avocado 🥑 and carne de fajita. I liked my plate very much and it was a large portion. Enough for 2 kids to eat or 2 adults who are not very hungry to share. If you’re very hungry that portion is enough. Indoor ceiling was decorated nicely and they sell chicharrónes in bags.
