We decided to come here for lunch and it was our first time visiting this restaurant. We've visited plenty and had our fair share of Mexican restaurants, enjoyed many plates and had plenty of left overs to take home. This restaurant in particular was somewhat different, seemed very particular about their food and their platter representation. I ordered their taco combo which is a plate with refried beans, yellow rice and two tacos of your choice of meat. As you can see my picture shown here there was a small amount of refried beans and yellow rice and of course my choice of two tacos which were steaks which had no flavor what so ever, had to use salt which I never do on any ordered meal. What didn't come along with these tacos as I received my order were cilantro, onions or lime. Luckly for me I knew to order this which in any other restaurant they would ask the customer if they'd like these toppings or at least they would bring them as a side if it is something a customer would not like on their tacos. I also had a plastic fork for a utensil while my husband had metal utensils to use for his order. He ordered a chicken soup Mexican style of course, usually would come with tortillas of your choice and lime for flavoring. Which we had to ask for as well and when our waitress came to get our drinks, brought our drink orders and then asked for our food order that was the last of her seen. I had to ask for her twice to some other waiters to have her bring condiments, another drink order and it took her so long just to attend to us. Smh. I would only recommend this place if you're starving, have no where else to search for or just in a rush for Mexican and are craving for it. Other then that I will not come here again for lunch or dinner and or even for just a drink. Hope others had better luck or will have better luck then we did.

Been living in the south side of Charlotte since June of 2000. I've lost count of the number of times I've driving past this past without a second thought. This even I decided to look up a casual Mexican restaurant nearby and decided to finally give it a try. I've been missing out! Decor, the music, the vibes and staff are all fantastic. You know the employees are happy when they're singing/humming along with the playlist. Felt like I was in a 90's Bond film in Mexico. Loved the experience. Elotes has a unique sour twang to it compared to other places I've tried around town. Good thing. Would order again. Got the steak burrito and swapped out the roja for the cheese sauce instead. Filling and definitely hits the spot. Wifey got the shrimp fajita and that never disappoints. Overall great spot and now on my come back to list.

I recently hosted an event for 25-30 guests at this restaurant, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was attentive, professional, and incredibly accommodating. The service was seamless, and every detail was handled with care. The food was delicious and came out promptly, even with a large group. Our guests were impressed not only with the quality of the dishes but also with the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team for helping make this event a success. I highly recommend this restaurant for both casual dining and private events!

After moving from Greensboro 3 years ago I have been looking for a replacement to my Fav La Bama on High Point Road. Not once but more that 5 time have I visited La Poblantita my husband and I love it. We are always full and satisfied. Only till now I have had a very very bad experince. 👎. I came in by myself right before 3pm. There was only one customer at the bar who walked out not long after I walked in. Noone else was sitting in the establishment. Walked in and stood there as 4 in site waitress played on their phones. 2 waitires were hehind the bar one who ened up seating me look up at me muilple times from.her phone while I just stood there.. Only to address when when another black customer came in behind me as if we are together. She even asked me was it 2.. I said No. You saw me walk in alone its just one( the other customer was picking up togo order). I had to asked for the sauces/dip that normally came from the start with the table.  I started to chung the beer to notice draft beer taste stale and sour and like the tap line have not been clean or the beer was expring.. I was told smartly that when don't change beer bc I've already drank it. But they gave me the bottle. Let's just say if I'm sick after this I know where it came from.  I asked for my food to be extra Crispy.. only for it to arrive cold but not as ive ordered many time before it. Now I knew if I said anything it would have became a seen on my end like I was the disruptive customer. But when a couple walked in they were greate quickly seated, got their food hot, didn't have to ask for anything and even had the staff sitting with them. Two other routes walked in. Only only did they didn't not have to ask for anything that I had to request of they were given it automatically from the moment they sat down with out hesitation. No customer should ever be treat differently or less because they are not Spanish... yes I know this review won't hurt the sales.. money is till to be made but I hope my honest option will show that All nationally deserve the same respect not just the ones u favor after. I won't be coming back and I rrally.hate that bc I have had good and great waiter who didn't speak a lick of English here give me the best service that normal american establishments. Don't let the bad one mess it up for the good ones who do good service. But those girls need a dose of reality and attituded check. But mostly not to state your customer down and walk by like they are being rushed to get out by your...

I called in and placed a to order that consisted of a chicken chimichanga with extra cheese and pico, a steak and chicken fajita with corn wrap. Before I left the restaurant the manager checked my order. I get home which is about a 10 minute drive and get take a everything out and start eating but my husband noticed he didn’t have his corn wrap. Immediately I was like you have to be kidding me. I called and told the manger what happen and if they could make my entire order over. No apology but he said that it would take 25 minutes and to bring the food back. So we decided that we would eat there and my food was ready and I told the manger that we prefer to eat in to make sure our food is correct. Still no apology but he had one of her waitresses seat us. We requested plates and waited for a few minutes then my husband went over and spoke to the manager. The manager came over with a water for my husband and asked me what I would like to drink. Assuming it was on the house after we finished eating the waitress asked if I was ready for the bill for my drink. We asked to speak with the manager but he would not come back over to the table after requesting him to speak with him. My husband took the bill and headed straight to the manger. I stood off the side and they talked. It’s not about the bill it’s about the overall customer service and making sure your customers are satisfied and APOLOGIZING for the mishap and assuring they will do what is necessary to prevent this type of incident will not happen again. I will not step foot back into this place of business again!!!! My advice is check your to go orders...
